(Grants Pass, Oregon)--Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®, America's Favorite Beading and Jewelry Supply Company®, announces the arrival of the Lazee Daizee™ Viking Knit 12-loop wire weaving tool for woven chain creations.

Designed by artist Stephanie Eddy, the amazing Lazee Daizee™ Viking Knit Tool makes the ancient form of creating woven chain a breeze, especially when beginning a project. The larger of two wire weaving rods designed by Stephanie, the 1/2 inch, 12-loop Viking Knit Tool accommodates larger gauges of wire (up to 20-gauge). It's recommended for 20- to 28-gauge wire and 26-gauge wire is suggested for beginners.

Because of the tool's larger diameter, headpins with embellishments can be added, and beads, pearls and gems can be inserted inside weaves. It can be used with multiple strands of different colors of wire to create a variety of weave patterns. The weaves on this tool can be reduced to 3/8 inch and 1/4 inch diameter, depending on the gauge of wire and number of loops used. The Viking Knit 12-loop wire weaving tool is easy to hold and works well for teaching weaving techniques. Use the new Viking Knit tool along with the Lazee Daizee™ Draw Plate which helps condense the diameter of knit wire without marring or scratching the surface. In addition, the original Viking Knit tool is available--the smaller 1/4 inch, 6-loop wire weaving rod is recommended for 24- to 30-gauge wire.
