Topics: Brooch-Making Information

Q.
What is the best glue to use to make brooches? Is there a book on making brooches, hat pins and kilt pins?
- Jenneh
A.
To determine the best glue to use for making a brooch, you will need to know what materials you are using and then compare them to the recommended use for each glue. For most non-porous components, Devcon 2-part jeweler’s epoxy will provide the best hold. Please review the ''Glue Types and Information'' chart for other options.

Here's a sampling of fun brooches, hat or stickpins and kilt pin design inspirations from the Gallery of Designs. You can finish your designs with a variety of pin backs, stick pins and kilt pins.
