What type of clasp, preferably precious metal, do you recommend for 15-16mm pearls? I'd like to evoke a South Seas flavor.

The type of clasp you choose for a project depends on many factors, including the number of strands of the bracelet or necklace. Since you're working with fairly large pearls, be sure to use a clasp that is wide enough to visually balance with the rest of the necklace
