Shawl pins can be made using kilt pins, with or without loops, or large safety pins that have removable heads. Dress either of these two types of pins up with beads and/or chain. Further embellish the design with beaded dangles.
To make beaded dangles, place a bead of your choice onto a headpin then secure with a simple loop. Use the simple loop to attach the dangle to the loops on the pin or the links in the chain.
