Q.
Can I use different metal clays on the same piece. I. E. bronze, copper, and or silver?
- Robert
A.
Yes you can use different clays together however they cannot be fired together in the "clay" state. You must form, finish and fire one clay type first and then incorporate it into the other clay that is part of your design.
As an example: A fine-silver metal clay piece can be fired at the manufacturer's firing schedule then incorporated into a bronze design which is then fired following the bronze firing schedule and instructions. The reverse is also possible.
