Topics: Bronze Metal Clay, Strength

Q.
Hi. My daughter is creating her own prom dress for this coming prom season. She is thinking of some kind of way to incorporate a snake into the dress and I saw the copper clays. Could she do that with this and would it be heavy enough to withstand the material hanging from it.

A.
Copper and bronze metal clays are very strong once fired; bronze is the strongest of the two. The shape, size and overall dimension in comparison to the amount of material being hung from the shape would dictate if they are strong enough.

I love the idea and hope you will share pictures of the progress and finished design. Feel free to submit your pictures through the Customer Photographs section in the Gallery of Designs.
