Q.
Hi - I've heard that to prevent costume jewelry from changing color, you can apply some clear nail polish on it. Is this true?
- Chantal
A.
Use an artist's fixative or DesignaSeal top coat to seal and protect metal beads and components. Clear nail polish can yellow over time. Use a paintbrush to apply a thin coat of DesignaSeal to all areas then let dry. DesignaSeal is dry to the touch in approximately 15 minutes and if desired, a second coat can be added after approximately 45 minutes. A full drying time of 24 hours is recommended.

DesignaSeal also works well as a coating for polymer clay beads, hand painted beads and gold leaf designs.
