Q.
I have looked everywhere for an answer. I am trying to remove the sharp edges from watch parts so I can use them in jewelry. I've tried tumbling with walnut shells and then steel shot. Neither media worked. Please help! Thanks,
- Gabrielle

Tumbling with steel shot or walnut shell will polish the metal watch parts, edges and points you have worked on. These media are not designed to take down metal.

To effectively take down sharp edges and points found on watch parts, hand filing may be required. Metal needle files are slender enough to access small spaces. Polishing papers and micro pads will also do a fine job of removing sharp metal edges and points.
