Q.
I recently purchased "The Bosses Bag." In it was a long chain with crystals in the links. I think it might be called a cup chain. I would love to make tennis bracelets with the chain but I cannot find anything on your site that tells me how to add a clasp to the ends. Please help.

I love working with cup chain. It adds such an elegant splash to a design. One of the simplest ways to finish off cup chain is to glue the cup chain ends into a cord end, bead cap or bead tip with a loop on the end so you can attach a clasp. There are many types of bead caps, just be sure the cup chain will fit snugly inside the bead cap chamber. Use 2-part jewelers epoxy for a very strong secure bond.
Another way to add a finish to the ends of cup chain is to wrap wire around the last "cup," so the wire is secure, then pull the wire into a cone so the end of the cone and the wire wrap are encased inside the cone. Finish the wire neatly above the cone and attach your clasp.
Have fun!
