Now transfer the side parts of the necklace (Picture 1) for two times: firstly facing the original direction and then in the mirror image. Glue the clockworks, the cabochon and the bead caps to the marked places. Note that the right and the left parts of the necklace have the same elements, but their location is not symmetrical.
The central part. Sew the basic row in I around the cabochon (Fig. 1), using even number of seed beads. When the row is finished go through all the beads, pulling tightly on the thread.
Bead the cabochon in peyote stitch (Fig. 2). The number of rows depends on the thickness of your cabochon. There are two rows in I and one row in G in the original design. Go through the last bead row for several times, pulling the thread taut.
Fix 5 A at the top part of the cabochon. Sew one row in G and one more row in F, working along the perimeter. Trim away all the excess leather. Glue a small piece of leather to the back side. Let the glue dry. Trim away the excess leather. Work the basic row in E (Fig. 3).
Draw a 3/8 inch (10mm) circle on both parts of the necklace for rivolis. Start working with one part, while another one is put aside. Sew one row in peyote stitch in G around the circle (Fig. 1), using an even number of seed beads. Bead four rows in peyote stitch in I (Fig. 2). Insert the rivoli in to the bezel and work two more rows in G. Go through the last bead row more than once, pulling the thread taut. Now repeat the same for another part of the necklace, altering to H and J seed beads.
Embroider around both bead caps in G. Continue beading in G around one bead cap and alter to H for the other bead cap (Fig. 4). See the photograph to fill in the free space, using A-H and J-M.
Trim away all the excess leather. Glue some leather for outer backing to the back side. Let the glue dry. Trim away the excess leather. Work the basic edge row in F (Fig. 5).
