    Beading the Cabochon

    Step 1
    Figure 1
Bead a flat double needle right angle weave in A, (Fig. 1). Its length should be equal to the circumference of your cabochon. Connect the last loop to the first one, closing it into a ring. The ring should fit the cabochon tightly. Fix both loose thread tails, but do not cut off, as you will need them for beading the cabochon.
    Step 2
    Figure 2

Bead the bottom part of the cabochon bezel using one end of the thread. Bead two rows of right angle weave in A and then alter to I for the third row. Go through the last bead row for several times, pulling tightly on the thread. Fix the thread and cut off.
    Step 3
Continue working with another thread tail. Bead one row in A. Insert the cabochon into the bezel and work one more row, having altered to I. Go through the last bead row for several times, pulling the thread taut. Fix the thread and cut off.

    Ropes

    Step 1
    Figure 3
Work two designs in peyote stitch in B, (Fig. 3).
    Step 2
    Figure 4

    Figure 5
Crochet two ropes about 5cm long in C. Decorate one edge of each rope with three leaves in H and N, (Fig. 4). Connect the first and the last leaves together to make a ring. Now insert each rope into its ring and go through the lower beads of the leaves to fix. Attach two more leaves to the same rope ends. Work them in H and N, (Fig. 5).
    Step 3
    Figure 6
Attach two leaves in H and A, (Fig. 6) and a loop for a clasp in (H), G, J, (Fig. 7) to the free end of one rope. Work another half of the clasp in G, (Fig. 8). Embroider it in J, (Fig. 9) and attach it to the free end of the other crochet rope.

    Figure 8

    Figure 9
    Step 4
    Figure 10
Join the crochet ropes to peyote designs by two chains (Fig. 1). Make one chain in L, 15 loops long; the other one in K, 17 loops long. Attach F beads (Fig. 10) along both edges of the chains.
    Step 5
    Figure 11
Work three leaves in H and N seed beads, (Fig. 11). Attach the leaves to one end of peyote design. Decorate the place of attachment with three J beads and three strings in H, N, B, J beads picked up in a random order.
    Step 6
Connect the right-hand peyote design (having three leaves) and the beaded cabochon by three chains (Fig. 1).

Work the first chain in A, 16 loops long.

Work the second one in E, 17 loops long.

Now make the third one in C, 24 loops long.

Attach E seed beads to both sides of the chains. Decorate the place of attachment with three leaves joined to the cab (Fig. 5). Work the leaves of different colour and size. Use A and B for the first leaf; C and D for the second one; D and E for the third leaf.
    Step 7
Connect the left-hand peyote design (having two leaves) to the cabochon with three other chains.

Work the first chain in A, 24 loops long.

Work the second one in E, 25 loops long.

Now make the third one in C, 31 loops long.

Attach F seed beads to both sides of the chains.
    Step 8
    Figure 12

Embroider the cabochon in M, K, J seed beads (Fig. 12). Attach fringe at the bottom (see the photo).
