    Cabochons

    Step 1
    Figure 1
    Glue the cabochons to fabric for under backing. Let the glue dry. Work the basic row in Q, O around the cabochon (fig.1). Attach the beads in the following sequence: 1Q, 2O; and again 1Q, 2O,etc. The number of seed beads in the basic row should be multiple to three.

    Bead the cabochons in O, Q (fig.2). Work the last row in M. Pass through the last row for several times, pulling tightly on the thread. Tip. Tie off the thread but do not cut off.

    Pass through the edge of the cabochon and bring the needle and thread to any O bead. Embroider in I (fig.3).

    Work one row in R around the cabochons. When the row is finished go through all the beads, pulling the thread taut. Trim away all the excess fabric as close to the last row as possible. Glue leather to the back side. Let the glue dry. Trim away all the excess leather. Work the basic edge row in Q (fig.4).

    Rivoli (A)

    Take a length of thread and pick up 34T beads. Bring them to the middle of the thread. Tie the thread tails to close the bead string into a circle. Work one row in peyote stitch in P and one more row in L (fig.5).

    Repeatedly go through the last bead row, pulling the thread taut. Tip. Tie off this thread tail and leave it loose; do not cut off. Bead one row in T, using another thread tail.

    Insert the rivoli. Work two rows in S and one more row in K. Run through the last bead row for several times, pulling tightly on the thread. Tie off the thread and bring it through any seed bead of the basic row, marked. Embroider the basic row beads marked (fig.7), using H, O, P. Tie off the thread.

    Now pick up the loose thread tail. Embroider the rivoli in I and L, using the loose thread tail (fig.8).

    Jewellery Stones (B)

    String 28T beads onto a length of thread. Bring the beads to the middle of the thread. Tie the ends of the thread together and close the beads into a circle. Work one row in peyote stitch in P and one more row in S (fig. 9). Repeatedly go through the last bead row, pulling the thread taut. Tip. Tie off this thread tail and leave it loose; do not cut off, as you will need it later.

    Take another thread tail and bead one row in T (fig. 10). Insert the stone and bead two rows in S around it. Pass through the last row for several times, pulling tightly on the thread. Tie off the thread and bring it to any seed bead of the basic row, marked.

    Embroidering Around the Stones

    The first type. Embroider two stones in H, O, P, going through the beads of the basic row, marked (fig.11). Tie off the thread tail, but do not cut it off. Attach the two embroidered stones to the lace scallops.

    The second type. Embroider another two stones in H, O, P, going through the beads of the basic row, marked (fig.11). Tie off this thread tail and pick up the loose thread tail. Embroider the top of the stones in I, L, K (fig.12).

    The third type. Embroider two more stones in I, L, K (fig.12).

    The fourth type. Embroider the bottom stone (fig.11), altering the usual side bicones to one H bicone in the middle and two O beads from both sides.

    Jewellry Stones (C)

    Take a length of thread and string 32T. Bring T beads to the middle of the thread. Tie the thread tails together and close the beads into a circle. Work one row in peyote stitch in P, one row in S and one more row in K, (Fig.13). Run through the last row for several times, pulling the thread taut. Tie off the thread tail.

    Continue the work, using another thread tail. Bead one row in T (fig.14). Insert the stone and work one row in S and two rows in K. Go through the last row more than once, pulling tightly on the thread. Tie off the thread tail and bring it through any seed bead of the basic row, marked.

    Bead the embroidered stones in H, O, P (fig.15) and tie off.

    Bead 6 leaves in J, K, L, O, P, I, E (fig.16).

    Take two of these leaves and work two more leaves atop, using K, J, L, O, P, F (fig.17).
    Step 18

    The bottom leaf. Bead the leaf in J, K, O, P (fig.18).

    Fix every row of the leaf to the basic row of the bottom cabochon. When the leaf is finished, insert the jewellery stone B (of the fourth type) into the middle of the leaf.

    Assembling

    Work three circle elements in peyote stitch in J, K, O, P on both sides of the bottom cabochon (fig.19). Attach two jewellery stones B (of the third kind) to the basic edge row and to the last row (fig.19).

    At the top of the teardrop cabochon work one pattern, using J, K, O, P, F, I (fig.20). Then work two more patterns in J, K, O, P, D (fig.21) and connect them to the teardrop cabochon from both sides.Connect the oval cabochon to teardrop cabochon, using E. Attach the basic row beads of the oval cabochon to P beads of the last row of fig.21.

    Attach the rivoli to the oval cabochon by K, O, F, H, I (fig.22). Beading in peyote stitch, work two identical semicircle elements on both sides of the oval cabochon (fig.23).

    Attach four leaves (fig.16), using pic.1 or the photograph as a guide. See Pic.1 to attach four C and one B (the first type) to each side of the rivoli, using J, K, P, O (fig.24).

    Connect all the elements together (fig.26).

    Then attach the first jewellry stone C to the oval cabochon (fig.24). At the bottom of the stripes attach one C and one B (of the second type) from each side (fig.25). Attach two leaves to the ends of the stripes.

    Fix F beads onto the pins (pic.2) and attach them to the ends of the necklace. Attach a clasp.
