 Using Snaps and the Snap Setter Tool

Step 1
Use hole-punch pliers to punch appropriate size hole in leather at desired location.
Step 2
Place the snap cap in the concave side of the anvil. Insert the tube of the snap cap through the hole on front side of leather.
Step 3
Place the socket over the cap tube on back side of leather.
Step 4
Insert the setting tool into the tube of the cap.
Step 5
Hold setting tool straight and firmly strike with hammer until the cap and socket are secure.
Step 6
Punch second hole in leather at desired location.
Step 7
Place the eyelet on the flat side of the anvil. Insert the tube of the eyelet through hole on back side of leather.
Step 8
Place stud over the tube of the eyelet on the front side of leather.
Step 9
Insert the setting tool into the tube of the eyelet.
Step 10
Hold setting tool straight and firmly strike with hammer until the eyelet and stud are secure.
