Delight in the beauty of angels with whimsical Christmas Angel earrings that are a pleasure to give as gifts or to wear throughout the holidays for sparkling seasonal style. Simple Instructions ideal for beading classes.
Step 1
String onto one gold-plated headpin:
- Ruby AB Czech pressed glass flower bead, 8.5mm
- Gold-plated crystal AB Swarovski crystal rondelle bead, 4mm
- Antiqued gold pewter angel wing bead, 20mm
- Peach Swarovski crystal bead, 4mm round
- Antiqued gold pewter rondelle bead, 5mm
- Transparent rainbow seed bead
Step 2
Using the round-nose pliers, grasp the headpin approximately 1/8 inch above the seed bead and make a 90 degree bend in the wire. Rotate the pliers to an upright position, still grasping the wire, and pull the end of the wire around the pliers toward you making a loop. Continue to form the wire around the pliers until you have a full loop. The end of the headpin will be facing away from you.
Step 3
Keep the round-nose pliers in the loop and, with the flat-nose pliers, grip the end of the wire. Slowly wrap the end of the wire around the headpin starting at the loop and wrapping tightly until you reach the seed bead. Make sure that you have the wrap even and it is tight enough against the beads to keep them all in place. Using the side-cutting pliers, clip away any excess wire.
Step 4
Using the flat-nose pliers, grasp the open side of the loop on the earwire and gently twist it open similar to opening a jumpring. Hang the wrapped-loop beads onto the opened loop of the earwire and then gently twist the earwire loop closed.
Step 5
Repeat Steps 1 - 4 to make a second earring.
