Necklace

Step 1
Using a pair of flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • One 12-inch and one 1-1/2 inch length of brass-plated 5x3mm patterned cable chain
  • Seven 12-inch lengths of 22 gauge brown Zebra Wire™
  • One 12-inch length of 22 gauge gold Zebra Wire
Step 2
Using a pair of scissors cut the following:
  • One 19-inch and one 12-inch length of red suede lace
  • One 12-inch length of 1/4 inch brown organza ribbon
  • One 12-inch length of 1/4 inch gold organza ribbon
Step 3
String one end of the brown ribbon through the hole on the first side of an antiqued gold-plated 12x2mm disc link. Pass the ribbon back through the second hole on the disc link. Position the disc link 2 inches from one end of the ribbon. Repeat to attach a second antiqued gold-plated 12x2mm disc link 2 inches from the end of the gold ribbon.
Step 4
String two antiqued gold-plated 8mm star rondelles onto the 19-inch red suede lace. Position the first antiqued gold-plated 8mm star rondelle bead 7 inches from one end. Place the second antiqued gold-plated 8mm star rondelle 7 inches from the opposite end.

String four antiqued gold-plated 8mm star rondelles onto the 12-inch red suede lace. Position the beads 2-1/2 inches apart down the length of the red suede lace.
Step 5
Pass one end of the 19-inch length of red suede lace through a 6mm jumpring, leaving approximately a 1/2 inch tail.
Step 6
Fold the 1/2 inch tail over so it is resting on the longer length of lace. Place one end of the 12-inch round brown Zebra Wire between the folded lace. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, guide the wire, wrapping it tightly against the two pieces of lace, securing it to the jumpring. Continue to wrap the cord for nine or ten neat wraps.
Step 7
Match one end of the gold ribbon, brown ribbon and the 12-inch length of red suede lace and place on the 19-inch length of red suede lace 4 inches from the previous jumpring.

Place one end of the 12-inch round brown Zebra Wire between the layers of lace and ribbon. Wrap it tightly against the two pieces of lace, securing it around the lace and ribbons. String the first link of a 12-inch length of brass-plated 5x3mm patterned cable chain onto the wire. Continue to wrap the cord for nine or ten tight but uneven wraps.
Step 8
Match the opposite ends of the gold ribbon, brown ribbon and 12-inch length of red suede lace and place on the 19-inch length of red suede lace evenly. Repeat Step 7 to attach the ribbon, lace and chain to the 19-inch length of red suede lace.
Step 9
Repeat Step 7 to attach a 12-inch round brown Zebra Wire around the suede lace and ribbons 8 inches from the first jumpring, and again 11 inches from the first jumpring.
