A pearl necklace is always in style and here's a modern twist (literally) on a traditional favorite. This project is all about reinventing a classic look by ...

    Necklace

    Step 1
Using scissors cut four 17-inch lengths white Purely Silk™ thread.

    Using flush-cutters cut the following:
    • One 17-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire
    • Two 5-inch lengths of beading wire
    Step 2
Remove the jumpring from one the gold-finished blister pearl focal. Align one gold-plated double leaf ice-pick bail with the top hole of the blister pearl focal; pinch the bail closed, capturing the loop of the focal.
    Step 3
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers open one gold-plated 6mm jumpring and four gold-plated 7x5mm jumprings.

Pass the 6mm jumpring through the loop on one gold-plated 14x8mm lobster clasp. Close the jumpring.

Pass one gold-plated 7x5mm jumpring through two gold-plated 6mm jumprings. Close the jumpring. Attach one 7x5mm jumpring to the first 6mm jumpring just added and another 6mm jumpring. Repeat two more times adding to previous 6mm jumpring to create a jumpring chain.
    Step 4
String onto one gold-plated 2-inch headpin, one Swarovski light green 8mm pearl. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters begin forming a wrapped loop on the straight end of the wire. Pass the loop through the last gold-plated 6mm jumpring on the jumpring chain. Finish the wrapped loop creating a Swarovski light green pearl drop with chain.
    Step 5
Thread a needle with one 17-inch length of thread.
    Step 6
String onto the thread, one 12Kt gold-filled 2x2mm crimp bead. Pass the thread back through the crimp bead creating a small loop (approximately 1/8 inch) and leaving approximately 1/4 inch of thread on the end.

Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite®) inside the crimp (optional). Using crimping pliers crimp the crimp bead and, using scissors, trim the excess thread from the short end.
    Step 7
Re-thread the needle onto the long end of the thread then string one hundred forty three Swarovski light green 3mm pearls and one 12Kt gold-filled 2x2mm crimp bead.
    Step 8
Repeat Step 6 to secure the pearl strand.
    Step 9
Repeat Steps 5 - 8 to create a total of four pearl strands.
    Step 10
Repeat Step 6 using one 17-inch length of beading wire.
    Step 11
String the following onto the beading wire:
    • Nine Czech glass pearl white #11 seed beads
    • One Swarovski gold 4mm pearl
    • One Swarovski and gold-plated crystal AB 4x2mm rondelle
    • One gold-plated 7x4mm flower bead cap (open-end facing away from the rondelle)
    • One Swarovski light green 8mm pearl
    • One gold-plated 7x4mm flower bead cap (open-end facing pearl)
    • One Swarovski and gold-plated crystal AB 4x2mm rondelle
    • One Swarovski gold 4mm pearl
    • Nine Czech glass pearl white #11 seed beads
    • One Swarovski light gold 6mm pearl
    • One Swarovski and gold-plated crystal AB 6x3.5mm rondelle
    • One Swarovski light green 8mm pearl
    • One Swarovski and gold-plated crystal AB 6x3.5mm rondelle
    • One Swarovski light gold 6mm pearl
Repeat this stringing sequence a total of three times.
    Step 12
    Continue to string the following:
    • Six Czech glass pearl white #11 seed beads
    • One Swarovski gold 4mm pearl
    • One gold-plated 7x4mm flower bead cap (open-end facing pearl)
    • The loop on the bail from the blister pearl focal
    • One gold-plated 7x4mm flower bead cap (open-end facing away from the focal)
    • One Swarovski gold 4mm pearl
    • Six Czech glass pearl white #11 seed beads
    Step 13
Repeat the stringing sequence in Step 12 in the opposite direction a total of three times.
    Step 14
Repeat Step 6 on the end of the beading wire to finish the strand.
    Step 15
String onto one 5-inch length of beading wire, one 12Kt gold-filled 2x2mm crimp bead. Pass the beading wire through the loop on one end of each of the five strands and back through the crimp bead. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the loops, gathering the strands leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end.

Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite) inside the crimp (optional). Using crimping pliers crimp the crimp bead and using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end.
    Step 16
String the following onto the long end of the 5-inch length of beading wire:
    • Two gold-plated 16x16mm filigree cones (open-end covering the five gathered ends of the pearl strands)

    • The gold-plated 6mm jumpring with lobster clasp
Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug around the jumpring leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite) inside the crimp (optional).

Using crimping pliers crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Place one gold-plated 4mm stardust crimp cover over the crimp bead then gently close it.
    Step 17
Tie the four light green 3mm pearl strands together in the center using an overhand knot.
    Step 18
Repeat Step 16 to attach the Swarovski light green pearl drop with chain from Step 4.

    Step 2
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers open two gold-plated 7x5mm jumprings. Pass one gold-plated 7x5mm jumpring through two gold-plated 6mm jumprings. Close the jumpring.

    Step 4
Thread a needle with one 8-inch length of thread.
