Necklace

Step 1
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • Six 24-inch lengths of jeweler’s bronze 24 gauge round wire
  • Four 8-inch lengths of jeweler’s bronze 24 gauge round wire
  • Two 4-inch lengths of gold-plated 9x6mm Figaro chain
  • One 10-1/2 inch length of gold-plated 3x2.5mm cable chain
Step 2
Using the pin vise, insert the two lengths of 24-inch wire together into one size appropriate collet on the pin vise tool. Hold the opposite end of the wire with flat-nose pliers, gently twist the two wires together for the entire length of the wire.

Repeat to create three strands of double twisted wires.
Step 3
Match one end of the three double twisted wires. String the ends though a 7x6mm crimp tube. Using chain-nose pliers, crimp the center portion of the crimp tube to hold the wires in place. Loosely braid the three strands of double twisted wire. Repeat to attach a crimp tube on the opposite end of the wires to secure them in place.
Step 4
Match one end of four lengths of 8-inch wire. Measure 3-inches from one end and fold the wire over on itself in a gently curved loop. Pass the loop with the 3-inch length of wire over the center of the braided section of wires from Step 3. Pass the long end of the wires through the hole on a freeform amazonite focal piece from the back to the front. Measure the wire approximately 1-1/2 inches from the first loop and fold the wire back up to create a second loop (the focal piece will rest in this loop).

Wrap the long end of the wires around the center section of wires between the two loops for two wraps leaving the excess wire exiting to the front of the focal piece. This will secure the focal piece to the braided wires.

On one of the 3-inch lengths of wire from Step 4, use chain-nose pliers to form a gentle arc over the length of the focal piece ending the wire with an open simple loop. Repeat on two more 3-inch lengths of wire.

On the first remaining length of wire, using chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, spiral the wire around the end of one side of chain-nose pliers. Repeat on the end of the four remaining lengths of wire. Arrange the spiraled wires across the top of the focal piece.
Step 5
Using one pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 6x4mm jumpring. Pass it through the first loop on the hook portion of the clasp. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach a 6x4mm jumpring to each of the loops on both sides of the clasp and one 6x4mm jumpring to each of the loops on the crimp tubes attached to the braided wire.
Step 6
Using flush-cutters, cut an 8-inch length of Accu-Flex® Professional Quality Beading Wire. String onto the wire, one crimp tube and a 1/2 inch piece of French wire. Pass the wire through the jumpring attached to the first loop on the hook portion of the clasp and back through the crimp tube leaving one end of the wire approximately one inch long. Pull the crimp tight against the French wire and the jumpring so the French wire is formed in a nicely curved tube. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end.
Step 7
String onto the beading wire the following:
  • One Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon crystal
  • One 4mm jumpring
  • One 16x12mm pear larimar bead (point toward the first crimp)
  • Three sets of one 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, one 4mm jumpring, and one 20x15mm flat oval larimar bead
  • One 4mm jumpring
  • One Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon crystal
  • One 4mm jumpring
  • One 16x12mm pear larimar bead (round end toward the first crimp)
  • One 4mm jumpring
  • One Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon crystal
Step 8
String onto the wire one crimp tube, 1/2 inch of French wire and the jumpring on the first end of the braided wire. Pass the beading wire back through crimp, then pull the wire snuggly so the crimp and the French wire are closer to the jumpring. Make sure there is no slack along the length of the first part of the necklace. Place a small amount of gel adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim excess wire from the end.
Step 9
Repeat Steps 6 through 8 to attach the opposite end of the braided wire to the first jumpring on the eye portion of the clasp.
Step 10
Open one 6x4mm oval jumpring. Pass it though the first link on a 4-inch length of gold-plated 9x6mm Figaro chain and the second loop on the hook portion of the clasp. Close the jumpring.

Open a 6mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on a 4-inch length of gold-plated 9x6mm Figaro chain and the first link on a 10-1/2 inch length of gold-plated 3x2.5mm cable chain. Close the jumpring.

Open a 6mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the 10-1/2 inch length of gold-plated 3x2.5mm cable chain and the first link on a 4-inch length of gold-plated 9x6mm Figaro chain. Close the jumpring.

Open one 6x4mm oval jumpring. Pass it through the 4-inch length of gold-plated 9x6mm Figaro chain and the second loop on the eye portion of the clasp. Close the jumpring.
Step 11
Open a 6x4mm oval jumpring. Pass it through the jumpring attached to one lobster claw clasp. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach a 6x4mm oval jumpring to a second lobster claw clasp.
Step 12
Using flush-cutters, cut a 14-inch length of beading wire. Repeat Step 6 to attach the beading wire to the 6x4mm jumpring attached to a lobster claw clasp.
Step 13
String onto the beading wire the following:
  • One Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon crystal
  • One 4mm jumpring
  • One 16x12mm pear larimar bead (point toward the first crimp)
  • One 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, and one 4mm jumpring
  • One 20x15mm flat oval larimar bead
  • One 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, and one 4mm jumpring
  • One 16x12mm pear larimar bead (point toward the first crimp)
  • One 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, and one 4mm jumpring
  • One 20x15mm rectangle larimar bead
  • One 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, and one 4mm jumpring
  • One 16x12mm pear larimar bead (round end toward the first crimp)
  • One 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, and one 4mm jumpring
  • One 20x15mm flat oval larimar bead
  • One 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, and one 4mm jumpring
  • One 16x12mm pear larimar bead (point toward the first crimp)
  • One 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, and one 4mm jumpring
  • One 20x15mm rectangle larimar bead
  • One 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, and one 4mm jumpring
  • One 16x12mm pear larimar bead (round end toward the first crimp)
  • One 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, and one 4mm jumpring
  • One 20x15mm flat oval larimar bead
  • One 4mm jumpring, one Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon, and one 4mm jumpring
  • One 16x12mm pear larimar bead (round end toward the first crimp)
  • One 4mm jumpring
  • One Swarovski 4mm round blue zircon crystal
Step 14
Repeat Step 8 to attach the end of the beading wire to the jumpring attached to the second lobster claw clasp.
