Step 1
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • One 3-link (1/2 inch) length and one 1-link (1/4 inch) length of silver-finished Figaro chain
  • One 24-inch length of lime faux suede lace cord
Step 2
Using hole punch pliers, punch a 1.25mm hole on the edge of the lime suede lace cord 1/4 inch from the first end. Continue to punch a 1.25mm hole every 1/4 inch on both edges of the suede lace cord.
Step 3
Using scissors cut a 3/4 inch length of dark green Purely Silk™ thread. Pass the thread onto a beading needle. String onto the thread the first corner loop of one silver-finished "pewter" 11x11mm knot link leaving a 2-inch tail of thread. Pass the thread through the first hole from the front of the suede to the back, around the outer edge of the suede. Pass the thread through the second corner loop on the first silver-finished "pewter" 11x11mm knot link and the second hole from the front of the suede to the back.

Repeat to attach fifty silver-finished "pewter" 11x11mm knot links to the top edge of the suede.
Step 4
After the last silver-finished "pewter" 11x11mm knot link is attached to the top edge of the suede, pass the thread along the back of the suede to the bottom edge of the suede. Pass the thread around the outer edge to the front of the suede, through the first hole on the bottom of the suede and through the bottom corner loop on the fiftieth link and continue to attach the links to the bottom edge of the suede. After the last link is secured to the suede cord, tie the 2-inch tail of thread from the beginning of the strand to the end tail using an overhand knot. Cut the excess thread next to the knot.
Step 5
Pass one end of suede lace cord through a ribbon crimp end. Place a small amount of glue on the inside of the crimp end (optional). Using chain-nose pliers, compress the crimp end onto the cord. Repeat to attach a ribbon crimp end on the opposite end of the suede lace cord. Make sure the thread knot is hidden inside of the ribbon crimp end.
Step 6
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 5mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the ribbon crimp end and the first link on the 1/2 inch length of chain. Close the jumpring. Open a 5mm jumpring. Pass it though the last link on the 1/2 inch length of chain and the loop on a lobster claw clasp. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to attach a 1-link length of chain to the opposite ribbon crimp end.
Step 7
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it though the second loop on the bottom of the first silver-finished "pewter" 11x11mm knot link and the loop on an antiqued brass feather charm. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to attach a feather charm to the second link on every other silver-finished "pewter" 11x11mm knot link in a random pattern.
