Bib-Style Necklace and Earring Set with Blue Labradorite Gemstone Beads, Bugle Beads and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS

Necklace

Step 1
Using flush-cutters, cut one 4-1/2 inch, one 5-inch and one 5-1/2 inch length of 4mm flat aluminum wire. On the first end of one of the wires, cut the sharp edge at 45 degrees. Repeat on the bottom edge. Repeat to finish the ends on the three pieces of wire.
Step 2
Flatten the 4-1/2 inch length of wire and gently curve the wire into an arch. Using the EUROTOOL® hole punch pliers, punch one 1.25mm hole 1/8 inch from the edge of the first end of the 4-1/2 inch length of wire. Repeat to punch a hole every 1/4 inch down the length of the wire for a total of eighteen holes.

Repeat to flatten, curve and punch twenty holes in the 5-inch length of wire and twenty-two holes in the 5-1/2 inch length of wire.
Step 3
Using flush-cutters, cut a 4-inch length of clear Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire. String the wire through one crimp tube, one Swarovski neon pink 3mm pearl, one 3/4 inch piece of French wire and the second hole on the 4-1/2 inch length curved wire. Pass the wire back through the pearl and the crimp tube leaving the wire approximately 1 inch long. Pull the crimp tight against the French wire and the bead so the French wire is formed in a nicely curved tube. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end.
Step 4
String onto the wire four 1/4 inch steel bugle beads and one blue labradorite 12mm flat round bead and one crimp bead.
Step 5
Make sure there is no slack along the length of the tassel. Place a small amount of gel adhesive inside the crimp (optional). Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim excess wire from the end. Gently close a crimp cover over the crimp.
Step 6
Repeat Steps 3 - 5 to attach sixteen tassels to the second through seventeenth holes on the 4-1/2 inch curved wire.

Repeat Steps 3 - 5 to attach sixteen tassels to the third through eighteenth holes on the 5-inch curved wire substituting one blue labradorite 14mm flat round bead on the end of each tassel.

Repeat Steps 3 - 5 to attach eighteen tassels to the third through twentieth holes on the 5-1/2 inch curved wire substituting one blue labradorite 20x15mm flat oval bead on the end of each tassel.
Step 7
Using flush-cutters, cut a 4-inch length of clear Accu-Flex beading wire. String the wire through one crimp tube, one Swarovski neon pink 3mm pearl, one 3/4 inch piece of French wire and the second hole on the 5-inch length curved wire. Repeat Step 3 to attach the beading wire.
Step 8
String onto the wire two 1/4 inch steel bugle beads, one crimp tube and one 3/4 inch piece of French wire. Pass the beading wire through the first hole on the 4-1/2 inch curved wire and back through crimp, then pull the wire snugly so the crimp and the French wire are closer to the last bugle bead. Make sure there is no slack along the length of the first part of the strand. Place a small amount of gel adhesive inside the crimp (optional). Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim excess wire from the end.
Step 9
Repeat Steps 7 and 8 to attach the nineteenth hole on the 5-inch curved wire to the eighteenth hole on the 4-1/2 inch curved wire, the second hole on the 5-1/2 inch curved wire to the first hole on the 5-inch curved wire and the twenty-first hole on the 5-1/2 inch curved wire to the twentieth hole on the 5-inch curved wire.
Step 10
Open a 6mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the bar portion of the toggle clasp. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach a 6mm jumpring to the ring portion of the toggle clasp.
Step 11
Cut an 11-inch length of beading wire. Repeat Step 3 to attach the wire to the jumpring attached to the bar portion of the toggle clasp.
Step 12
String onto the beading wire the following:
  • Four 1/4 inch steel bugle beads
  • One Swarovski neon pink 3mm pearl
  • One blue labradorite 6mm round bead
  • One Swarovski neon pink 3mm pearl
Repeat three times for a total of four sets.
Step 13
String onto the wire one crimp tube and one 3/4 inch piece of French wire. Pass the beading wire through the first hole on the 5-1/2 inch curved wire and back through crimp, then pull the wire snuggly so the crimp and the French wire are closer to the last bugle bead. Make sure there is no slack along the length of the first part of the strand. Place a small amount of gel adhesive inside the crimp (optional). Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim excess wire from the end.
Step 14
Repeat Steps 11 - 13 to attach the ring portion of the toggle clasp to the twenty-second hole on the 5-1/2 inch curved wire.
