Necklace

Step 1
Using 1.8mm hole punch pliers, punch out the open scroll on the tip of one petal of the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component creating a round hole.

Repeat to punch out a total of 12 petals, leaving four in a row not punched.

Use a fine needle file to gently file the inside of the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component for optimal adherence of the molding compound.
Step 2
Open the black Apoxie® Sculpt, 2-part epoxy molding compound. Mix equal parts of the epoxy for two minutes, or until thoroughly combined, to create a putty-like texture.
Step 3
Work the epoxy into the inner edge of the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component. Remove any excess epoxy from the edges of the frame using a carving tool. Smooth the epoxy using your finger or a piece of non-stick worksheet.
Step 4
Gently push a Swarovski emerald 16mm rivoli into the Apoxie on the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component. Turn the open ring to the back side and continue to work additional Apoxie over the entire back of the rivoli and the inner edge of the component to secure it in place. Allow 24 hours for complete hardening of Apoxie.
Step 5
Using flush-cutters cut eleven 1-link lengths, two 8.5-inch lengths and two 9-inch lengths of antiqued gold-plated 6mm filigree round chain.
Step 6
String one Swarovski light grey opal 4mm cube bead onto an eyepin. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the eyepin. Repeat to create eight light grey opal 4mm cube beading links.

Repeat to create the following:
  • Six Swarovski light Colorado topaz 4mm cube beading links using one Swarovski light Colorado topaz 4mm cube bead and one 1-inch eyepin
  • Twelve triple crystal cube beading links using one Swarovski light grey opal 4mm cube bead, one Swarovski light Colorado topaz 4mm cube bead, one Swarovski light grey opal 4mm cube bead and one 1-inch eyepin
  • Twenty-four emerald 4mm cube bead drops using one Swarovski emerald 4mm cube bead and one 1-inch headpin
Step 7
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the first outer loop on the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component and the first loop on a triple crystal cube beading link. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach twelve, triple crystal cube beading links to adjacent loops around the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component.
Step 8
Open the bottom loop on the first triple crystal cube beading link. Pass the loop over the loop on a 1-link length of antiqued gold-plated 6mm filigree round chain. Close the loop.

Open the bottom loop on the second triple crystal cube beading link. Pass the loop through the opposite loop on the previous 1-link length of antiqued gold-plated 6mm filigree round chain and another 1-link length of antiqued gold-plated 6mm round filigree chain.

Repeat until one 1-link length of antiqued gold-plated 6mm round filigree chain is attached between each of the twelve first, triple crystal cube beading links on the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component.
Step 9
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the ring portion of the toggle clasp and the first link on an 8.5-inch length of antiqued gold-plated 6mm filigree round chain. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach a 9-inch length of antiqued gold-plated 6mm round filigree chain to the loop on the ring portion of the toggle clasp.

Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the 8.5-inch length of antiqued gold-plated 6mm filigree round chain and the bottom loop on the first, triple crystal cube beading link on the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach the last link of the 9-inch length of chain to the bottom loop on the second, triple crystal cube beading link on the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component.

Repeat to attach one 8.5-inch length and two 9-inch length of antiqued gold-plated 6mm filigree round chain to the bar portion of the toggle clasp and the bottom loop on the eleventh and twelfth, triple crystal cube beading link on the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component.
Step 10
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the jumpring on the chain between the 9th and 10th links on the 9-inch length of chain and the first loop on a light grey opal 4mm cube beading link. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach the opposite loop on the light grey opal 4mm cube beading link to the jumpring on the chain between 8th and 9th links on the 8.5-inch length of chain. Repeat to attach a light Colorado topaz 4mm cube beading link between the two lengths of chain one link down. Repeat to attach beading links between the lengths of chain alternating between the light grey opal 4mm cube beading links and the light Colorado topaz 4mm cube beading links.

Repeat to attach the beading links on the two lengths of chain on the opposite side of the necklace.
Step 11
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the jumpring on the chain between the 9th and 10th links on the 9-inch length of chain on the first side of the necklace and one emerald 4mm cube bead drop. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach an emerald 4mm cube bead drop to the 9-inch chain under each beading link on both sides of the necklace.

Repeat to attach an emerald 4mm cube bead drop to the focal piece under each beading link on both sides of the necklace.

Repeat to attach an emerald 4mm cube bead drop to the bottom loop on second through eleventh, triple crystal cube beading link on the antiqued gold-plated 29mm filigree open round component.
