    Necklace

    Step 1
    Using flush-cutters cut the following:
    • Three 23-link lengths of clear 2mm cupchain
    • One 72-link length of light red 4mm cupchain
Cut the following lengths of clear 4mm cupchain:
    • Two 2-link lengths
    • Two 5-link lengths
    • One 9-link length
    • Two 12-link lengths
    • Three 17-link lengths
    • One 22-link length
    • Two 24-link lengths
    • One 69-link length
    • One 74-link length
    Step 2
Place one 17-link length of clear 4mm cupchain inside the edge of one bezel cup making sure the links are as close together as possible.
    Step 3
Apply Magic-Glos® to the base of the bezel at the inner edge of the cupchain. Cure under a UV light for 15 minutes.
    Step 4
Repeat Step 3 to apply a second layer, to raise the base of the bezel, inside the cupchain.
    Step 5
Lay one 23-link length of clear 2mm cupchain against the inside of the clear 4mm cupchain as closely as possible, keeping the oval shape.
    Step 6
Repeat Step 3 to secure the clear 2mm cupchain. Set aside for 30 minutes to cure completely.
    Step 7
Insert a cone-shaped sanding/drilling tip into a rotary tool flex shaft. Gently drill a graduated oval recess in the cured Magic-Glos in the center of the oval bezel. Take care not to scuff the rhinestone rim or drill through the back side of the bezel. Place one Swarovski crystal clear 18x13mm oval fancy stone embellishment in the drilled oval recess to make sure it will rest well.
    Step 8
Remove the fancy stone and use a stiff brush to remove excess dust and particles from the component.
    Step 9
Mix Devcon® 5-Minute® Epoxy according to manufacturer's instructions. Apply a small amount of epoxy to the center of the drilled area on the component and to the back of the fancy stone. Press the oval fancy stone into the center of the component. Set aside to cure.
    Step 10
Repeat Steps 2 - 9 to create a total of three Swarovski and cupchain components.
    Step 11
Using a pair of flat-nose pliers attach one cupchain connector to each end of the remaining lengths of cupchain.
    Step 12
Count back four links from the center of the 74-link length of clear cupchain. Using a Sharpie® marker, mark the back side of the cupchain. Continue to mark the back of the 6th link and the 14th link. Repeat to mark the opposite half of the necklace.
    Step 13
Lay the 74-link length of cupchain out flat on a heatproof surface with the back facing up. Lay the connector loop from the 22-link length over the fourth link mark on one side of the 74-link length. Apply flux to the connector loop and center of the back of the fourth link.
    Step 14
Tin a hot soldering iron with Canfield Pewter-Finish™ solder wire. Hold the soldering iron tip to the fluxed metal until it flows and covers the join--connecting the loop to the back of the link--this happens quickly. Remove the soldering iron tip and allow pewter join to cool and become stable before moving it.

Repeat to solder the opposite end of the 22-link length to the fourth link from center on the opposite side of the 74-link length.

Note: The solder is shiny like mercury in its molten stage, and will cloud over and dull once it cools. Use the sal ammoniac block to clean the tip of the soldering iron after each connection.
    Step 15
Solder the connector loops on one 24-link length to the sixth link mark and the fourteenth link mark on one side of the 74-link length.
    Step 16
Solder one 2-link length to the 24-link and 22-link lengths, between the fourth and sixth links of the 74-link length, approximately five links from the connected ends. It may help to place the design on a display to view the angles of the joins so the drape hangs properly when worn. Repeat to solder each end of one 5-link length three links from the 2-link length and one 12-link length three links from the 5-link length.
    Step 17
Repeat Step 16 to create a mirror image on the opposite end of the 74-link length.
    Step 18
Solder one 9-link length to each 12-link length approximately four links from the center.

Note: Once design is cool, check hanging direction of all loops. If any do not flow smoothly, reheat the connection and adjust the angle of the loop. Repeat if needed.
    Step 19
Using a 6x4mm oval jumpring, connect a bezel component to the center of the 74-link length (it will be surrounded by the twenty-two link length).
    Step 20
With the back side facing up, mark the centers of the soldered necklace, the red 72-link length and the clear 69-link length. Solder the three strands together at the center marks.
    Step 21
Attach a second bezel component to the tenth link from the center bezel component on the 74-link length on each side.
    Step 22
Mix Devcon 5-Minute Epoxy according to manufacturer's instructions. Inject epoxy into the well of one portion of the fold-over magnetic clasp. Set aside for approximately 2 minutes until it begins to firm but is still tacky. Place the portion right side up on a nonstick surface. Align the three loop connector ends of the necklace and verify the cupchain is lying flat. Push the loop ends into the epoxy and allow to dry completely. Repeat to attach the second portion of the clasp.

    Earrings

    Step 1
    Using flush-cutters cut the following:
    • Two 12-link lengths of clear 2mm cupchain
    • Two 17-link lengths of clear 4mm cupchain
    Step 2
Using a pair of flat-nose pliers attach one cupchain connector to each end of each 17-link length of cupchain.
    Step 3
Bring the ends of one 17-link length together so the center of the cupchain curves. Apply flux and solder the back side of the center five links securing the curve in place. Allow to cool.
    Step 4
Mark the back side in the center of the bottom of a 12mm round bezel drop. Lay the round bezel drop marked side up on a heat proof surface. Apply flux to the entire backside of the round bezel drop. Lay the cupchain connector loops onto the bezel and use the top of a brush to line them up with the mark, ensuring they are close to the edge of the bezel to ensure they hang properly when soldered.
    Step 5
Solder connector loops to the backside of the round bezel drop, covering the entire backside of the bezel with solder avoiding the bezel drop's top loop.

Note: Work quickly to avoid yellowing of the surface of the bezel. If this does happen, easily clean the patina off with a dip cleaning solution.
    Step 6
Lay one 12-link length of clear 2mm cupchain inside the bezel. Apply Magic-Glos around the inner edge of the cupchain. Cure under a UV light for 15 minutes.
    Step 7
Apply a small amount of epoxy to the center of the bezel. Set aside for approximately 1 minute until it begins to thicken but is still tacky. Place one Swarovski crystal clear SS39 rivoli into the epoxy and let cure completely.
    Step 8
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers open two silver-plated 4mm jumprings. Pass one jumpring through the loop on the round bezel drop and the loop on one silver-plated earstud. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach a second jumpring creating double jumprings.
    Step 9
Repeat Steps 2 - 8 to create a second earring.
