Bracelet with Brass Sheet, Wirework and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS

Bracelet with Brass Sheet, Wirework and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS
Step 1
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • One 36-inch and two 3-inch lengths of nickel silver 24-gauge round wire
  • Four 1-inch, two 12 inch, and one 1-link lengths of gold-plated 5mm twist cable chain
Step 2
Using a saw blade and a bench pin, cut one 1-1/2 x 1-12 inch square brass sheet and two 1x1-inch square brass sheets.
Step 3
Using a center punch, punch a dot onto the first corner of the 1-inch square pattern. Place a 1mm drill bit into a rotary tool, drill one 1mm hole on the punched dot.
Step 4
Using a saw blade and a bench pin, cut the inner edge of the square cutout.
Step 5
Repeat Step 3 to punch five holes along the 1-inch straight edge on the top of the inner square and five holes along each straight edge on the square.

Repeat to punch one hole 1/8 inch from outer edge of the first and third corners of the 1-1/2 inch square sheet.

Repeat to punch one hole 1/8 inch from outer edge on each of the four corners of the two 1-inch square sheet.
Step 6
Repeat to punch one hole 1/2 inch from outer edge of the first corner on one 1-inch square sheet, and one hole 1/2 inch from outer edge of the opposite corner on the 1-inch square sheet. Repeat on the second 1-inch square sheet.
Step 7
Use a file to remove burrs and roughness from the outer edge of the sheet and the inner edges of the cutout.
Step 8
String one Swarovski smoked topaz 6mm mini square bead onto the center of a 3-inch length of wire. Pass the two ends of the wire through the two center holes on front the first 1-inch square sheet. Pull the bead flat against the front of the brass sheet. Cross the two ends of the wire and pass each of the wires back through the opposite holes on the sheet to the front.

Wrap the first wire under the crystal to the opposite side. Wrap the end of the first wire around the second wire where it exits the top of the sheet. Cut any excess wire flush and tuck the end of the wire under the crystal. Repeat to attach the second wire to the first wire on the opposite side under the crystal.

Repeat to attach the second Swarovski smoked topaz 6mm mini square bead to the front of the second 1-inch square sheet.
Step 9
Orient the 1-1/2 inch square in a diamond position. Pass the end of the 36-inch length of wire from the back to the front of the second hole on the inside square of the 1-1/2 inch square sheet leaving a 1-inch tail. Pass the wire through the second hole on the bottom edge of the square. Continue to weave the wire in a vertical pattern from the top to bottom, then a horizontal pattern from right to left attaching eight Swarovski crystal red magma 4mm round beads and one Swarovski smoked topaz 6mm mini square bead in a random pattern on the front wires.

Wrap the end of the second wire around the wire on the back of the last hole for three to four wraps to secure the wire. Repeat to secure the 1-inch tail of the first wire to the wire behind the first hole.
Step 10
Using your fingers, gently bend the opposite points of the 1-1/2 inch wire-wrapped square sheet in an arc to fit the angle of your wrist.
Step 11
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 6x4mm oval jumpring. Pass it through the loop on a lobster claw clasp and the outside loop on one 3-strand end bar. Close the jumpring.
Step 12
Open a 6x4mm oval jumpring. Pass it through first loop inside the 3-strand end bar and the first link on a 1-inch length of chain. Close the jumpring. Repeat to one 12 inch chain to the second loop on the end bar and one 1-inch chain to the third loop.
Step 13
Open a 6x4mm oval jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the first 1-inch length of chain and the top hole on one brass 1-inch square sheet. Repeat to attach the last link on the 12 inch chain to the left hole on the brass 1-inch square sheet and the last link on the second 1-inch chain to the bottom hole on the brass 1-inch square sheet.
Step 14
Repeat Steps 12 and 13 to attach the 1-link length of chain, the end bar and the three chains to the second brass 1-inch square sheet.
Step 15
Open a 6x4mm oval jumpring. Pass it through the left corner hole on the first brass 1-inch square sheet and the right corner hole on the 1-1/2 inch wire-wrapped square sheet. Repeat to attach the 1-1/2 inch wire-wrapped square sheet to the second 1-inch square sheet.
