THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! While your on-line information has been invaluable for my questions, I have been reading "Secrets of Beading Success" and WOW! In the introductory note you say "16 comprehensive techniques," and you aren't kidding. I've been beading and designing since I was a child and am an artist and art teacher so I am familiar with art instructions that are confusing. Tamara Honaman has presented the information in such a way that guarantees retention and comprehension the first time and every time. And, it's not just the techniques, it's basic information as well. "Secrets of Beading Success" is like taking a private and advanced class in all the techniques and information - all at once.

In the past I did wirework and created beaded jewelry. But, when I wanted to bead-embellish a needlepoint angel stocking I designed, I thought I could go to my local bead shop for my beads and finish my project. After all, I only needed about 8-10 shades of burgundy. They finally located an appalling 2 colors! What a disappointment. I bought those two colors of 11/0 Delica's and a beading magazine. When I saw your ad on the back cover, I called for a catalog in the hopes you might have a "few" more colors. You can imagine my delight when I received my Fire Mountain Gems and Beads catalog and turned to the seed bead section - it was sheer heaven. I quickly determined the Delica's I needed for my project and placed my first order with you. I had a wonderful time ordering beads and supplies - I could not just stop with the seed beads! That was when I got "hooked" on seed beads. Although I am primarily a portraitist, my current artistic passion and outlet is an 11/0 seed bead tapestry based on a coffin lid I found in Palenque, Mexico. The ranges of flesh tone shades and colors I can obtain through Fire Mountain more than meet my artistic needs.

I have come to rely on Fire Mountain Gems and Beads for my beads and myriad beading supplies. With "Secrets to Beading Success" you have done it again - helped me become a more confident designer and jewelry maker! If you don't have it, it doesn't exist.
