GlasClay is a glass powder formula for molding and sculpting opaque glass artwork. Affordable and easy-to-use, GlasClay is sold in powder form, just add water, knead, mold and shape, allow to dry, then fire in a kiln. It can be worked using the same tools and techniques as you would with other clay materials. GlasClay uses world-renowned Uroboros® art glass.
Opaque black opal formula is packaged at a volume of 50 grams, settling may occur.

GLASCLAY product information continued...
The coefficient of expansion (coe) for GLASCLAY is 90coe, which is important for compatibility purposes if you choose to hot-attach a finished piece of GLASCLAY to another piece of glass, such as dichroic or lampworked glass.
Color and detail will vary depending on the firing temperatures. Complete instructions are included in the packaging. It is recommended to fire a test sample first, as with all clay materials. Pieces shrink symmetrically about 15-20% during firing, with fine detail sharpening as it shrinks. Higher temperatures and longer firing times will cause details to soften and colors to change, while offering a higher gloss finish.Recommended products:
