In this "marriage" of two vibrant colored gemstones, the electric blue of azurite and malachite's rich green shades are intermingled. They are found blended together in or near copper deposits, which give them their colors. Sometimes malachite's "leafy" green swirls through azurite's deep bright blue (as in our teardrops) or the blue of azurite flashes in malachite's rich, green background (in our cabochons). Either way, their colors and unique patterns are so striking, I use them in simple settings so nothing distracts from them.
