Meet the Designer-Artist

Where do you live?
Steubenville, Ohio

What inspires you as a designer-artist?
Flowers reveal my most creative side. But I also love to recycle, and I find limitations in materials to be inspiring.

What medium do you work with mostly?
Swarovski crystals.

Why did you become enchanted with this style of jewelry-making?
The quality of the crystals is unmistakable.

Where and How do you sell your jewelry?
www.sewandsocreations.wix.com/weddinghomepage and www.sewandso.etsy.com as well as my personal studio.

What is the name of the piece you submitted with your success story?
Swarovski Pearls Two Tier Necklace

What inspired this design?
I was commissioned to create the jewelry for a wedding. This is the collaboration between me and the bride.

How did it come together?
It was a plan. The grosgrain ribbon had to be the focal point.

What inspired you to donate your bead(s) to Circle of Hope?

My grandmother died from breast cancer. Personally, I feel a responsibility to do what I can to help. Since I make beads, I felt this was my time to contribute.
