Q.
Does anyone know what transite is? I bought some and am not sure what it's used for. I bought what I thought was thread and it is marked transite.

A.
Transite refers to a clear monofilament with little stretch, similar to fishing line. This clear stringing material is perfect for creating "illusion" or "floating" necklaces because it is clear and does not take attention away from the jewelry design. In addition to transite for bead weaving, Invizi™-Cord, FireLine® and Nymo® are also ideal to work with.
