Q.
Which bead tip do I use with rattail and bugtail?
- Suzanne, FL
A.
Fold over cord tips or crimp tubes with loops are used for rattail and bugtail (satin cord) because they remain secure once clamped over the cording. These also have loops on the ends to easily attach a clasp or other finding. For extra assurance, apply a dab of Loctite 454® Gel adhesive to the cord tip or crimp tube end prior to closing. Refer to the ''Cord Cap Hole Sizes Chart'' when choosing an appropriate cord end or read ''A Dozen Ways to End a Necklace'' for more ideas about working with various cord types in your designs.
