Q.
Hi, I would like to know how to add bead loops and or scallops to an existing necklace that I have made with wire, but I don't know how to do it. Thanks for your help.

To add bead loops:
  • Cut 18-gauge or heavier wire to desired length and bend by hand to a loop or scallop shape.
  • Using round-nose pliers, form a simple loop on one end of the wire leaving a small area of the loop open. If desired, string beads onto the wire form.
  • Form a simple loop on the second end of the wire leaving a small area of the loop open.
  • Hook wire loops over wire necklace between beads and close the loops using flat- or chain- nose pliers.
See the necklace project instructions listed in the resources below for more design information.
