Favorite Charity: Animal Protection League
When I moved to South Carolina over 15 years ago, I looked for a no-kill shelter I could volunteer with to help the animals.
This is my favorite charity because the Animal Protection League's mission is to provide a safe haven for the community's abused and abandoned dogs and cats, with the goal of rehabilitating them and finding them permanent, loving homes. Because they are a "no-kill" rescue shelter, all animals accepted into their care remain under the stewardship of the APL until they are adopted. They will consider euthanasia only when it is recommended by a veterinarian to relieve an animal's suffering due to irreversible injury, illness, or disease.
|100% of the proceeds of the sale of my items go to the Animal Protection League. I make a low cost version of bracelets, necklaces and earrings, as well as the higher cost version, so that people of all walks of life can help contribute and get something to show their support of the APL as well.|
