Favorite Charity: The Salvation Army Women's Ministry
I've attended the Salvation Army since I was an infant. My Mother has been involved with the Salvation Army since the early 1950s. It was originally called The Ladies Home League. The Salvation Army Women's Ministry is located in Clay County (Middleburg), Florida.
I taught a class for their creative program on making a bracelet. The Corps Officer ordered the beads with my suggestion of mixed frosted acrylic beads, Acculon® wire, crimps and a metal flower stacked bracelet that was taken apart to make bead caps. The bracelet looks like Dot Candies. Some of the ladies used all yellow beads and it looked like frosted lemon drop candies. I helped them crimp the wire to string the clasp. The ladies are in their retirement years and most had problems with arthritis, so I used an easy on-and-off clasp. The number one color preferred ... PINK!
