Single-Strand Necklace with Assorted Cultured Freshwater Pearl Beads

Combining the many colors and shapes of cultured freshwater pearls with 4mm genuine Celestial Crystal cubes creates a sumptuous gift for yourself, or to give.

STEP 1
Measure and cut 10-feet 5 inches of thread for your necklace. Add your needle and double your thread. Place a knot 5 inches from the end of your threads. You will now have 5-feet of working thread and are ready to start stringing your cultured freshwater pearls.
STEP 2
String your cultured pearls and crystals in any order you find pleasing, placing crystal cubes here and there to add sparkle; with this mixture, it is best ''not'' to have a pattern.
STEP 3
Once you've completed stringing your cultured pearls and crystals, tie a surgeon's knot with your ends to make the necklace into one continuous loop. Add a drop of glue to the knot and let it dry. Once the glue is dry, trim any ends. Your necklace is now complete.
STEP 4
You can now wear your necklace as one long strand, or use a twister clasp to wear the necklace doubled and twisted. To create the twisted pearl necklace, fold the necklace in half. Insert a finger into each loop created on the ends. Twist your fingers in opposite directions, twisting until you're happy with the tension and look of the twists. Insert the open clasp into one of the twisted ends. While holding each end, bring the necklace around your neck. Slip the open clasp through the other looped end and close the clasp. Whichever way you choose to wear your new necklace, do it with pride because you made it yourself!
