Multi-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Swarovski Crystal Components, 18Kt Gold-Plated Pewter Bails and Metal Chain

Necklace

STEP 1
Using ODX degreaser, clean the bails and the crystal components, following manufacturer's directions.

Tip: Cleaning all parts will ensure a good bond between the bails and the crystal components.

Squeeze onto a disposable work surface, equal amounts of Part A and Part B of the epoxy. Using a toothpick, blend the two parts of the epoxy together until well blended.

Note: When gluing a finding to Swarovski crystals with a foil back surface, it is better to use a two-part epoxy than a cyanoacrylate glue. Cyanoacrylate adhesives cure quickly and can pull the foil off of the crystals.

Place a heart bail flat, with the reservoir facing up, onto a disposable work surface. Using a toothpick, pick up a small dab of epoxy and place it into the reservoir. Align and place the top corner edge of the Swarovski 20x20mm square ring Sahara crystal onto the bail. Carefully set the bail and crystal aside until the epoxy cures, following manufacturer's recommended curing time.

Repeat to create a total of two 20x20mm square ring Sahara crystals with bails, two 20x20mm square ring dorado crystals with bails and two 20x20mm square ring tabac crystals with bails.
STEP 2
Using a pair of flush-cutters, cut two 7-1/4 inch lengths, three 8-inch lengths, and four 1-1/2 inch lengths of gold-plated 5x3.5mm heavy cable chain and three 9-1/2 inch lengths of antiqued brass-plated 2.2 mm cable chain.
STEP 3
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 6mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the lobster claw portion of the clasp and the first link on a 7-1/4 inch length of gold-plated 5x3.5mm heavy cable chain. Close the jumpring.
