Single-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Copper Beads, Seed Beads and Antiqued Copper-Plated Pewter Chain

Necklace

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters cut the following:
  • One 3-inch length and one 6-inch length of natural copper 18-gauge round Zebra Wire™
  • Seven 24-inch lengths of bright copper 28-gauge round Wrapit® wire
  • Two 8-inch lengths of antiqued copper-plated 4.8x3.3mm cable chain
STEP 2
Using round-nose pliers and chain-nose pliers form a simple loop on the end of the 3-inch length of Zebra Wire. Measure 2 inches from the loop and bend the wire into a soft L-shape. Form a simple loop on the opposite end of the wire.

Form a simple loop on the end of one 6-inch length of Zebra Wire. Measure 1-1/2 inches from the loop and wrap the wire two times around the 3-inch wire at the bend of the L-shape. Gently curve the remaining length of wire into an arc. Form a simple loop on the opposite end of the wire.
STEP 3
Wrap a 24-inch length of bright copper 28-gauge round Wrapit wire around the 3-inch length of 18-gauge Zebra Wire under the loop for 4-5 wraps to secure the wire in place. String 3/4 inch of the 24-inch wire with metallic gold seed beads. Pass the wire back through the second to last bead and continue to pass it through the seed beads until the wire exits the first bead next to the 3-inch length of Zebra Wire. Repeat on the opposite side of the 3-inch wire. Repeat until there are twenty-three strands of seed beads on each side of the wire on the long portion of the L-shaped wire and thirteen strands of seed beads on each side on the short portion of the L-shaped wire. Decrease the seed beads in number to graduate the leaf pattern.

Repeat on the 6-inch Zebra Wire until there are sixteen strands of seed beads on each side of the wire on the 1-1/2 inch portion and thirty-four strands of seed beads on each side on the 4-inch curved portion of the wire. Decrease the seed beads in number to graduate the leaf pattern.
STEP 4
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers open a 5mm jumpring. Pass it through the hole on the toggle ring portion of the clasp and the first link on an 8-inch length of cable chain. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach the last link of the chain to the loop on the left side of the 3-inch length of Zebra Wire.

Repeat to attach the second 8-inch length of cable chain to the toggle bar portion of the clasp and the loop on the right side of the 6-inch length of Zebra Wire.
STEP 5
String one 14mm round brushed copper bead onto a headpin. Using round-nose pliers create a simple loop leaving excess wire to wrap later. Attach the simple loop through the loop on the left side of the 3-inch length of Zebra Wire. Finish the end with a wrapped loop using round-nose pliers and the excess wire. Repeat to attach a 14mm round brushed copper wrapped bead drop to the bottom loop on the 6-inch length of Zebra Wire and a 10mm round brushed copper wrapped bead drop to the loop on the right side of the 6-inch length of Zebra Wire.
STEP 6
String one 10mm round brushed copper bead onto a headpin. Form a wrapped loop on the straight end of the headpin. Repeat to create three 10mm round brushed copper wrapped bead drops.
STEP 7
Open a 5mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on all three 10mm round brushed copper wrapped bead drops and the 6-inch length of Zebra Wire approximately 1-inch from the bend in the L-shaped wire. Close the jumpring.
