Convertible Necklace, Bracelet and Earring Set with Rose Quartz Gemstone Beads, Antiqued Gold-Plated Steel Focals and Pink Opal Gemstone Beads

STEP 1
Using chain-nose pliers, shape the 13x3mm fancy round bead caps to fit around the crystal link.
STEP 2
Use a permanent marker to mark the placement of 2 holes in the top of an 11x10mm bail. Use a hole punch to create the holes at the marks.

Repeat to create two for this design.
STEP 3
Measure an oval steel component against a large pink opal oval bead, then shape the component accordingly so it fits, covering 3 sides of the bead--the top, the bottom and one side.

Use a marker to indicate the stringing hole placement of the bead on the steel component. Use a hole punch to make holes at the marks.

Apply a dab of E-6000® Jewelry and Craft Adhesive to the center of the steel component. Place a Swarovski crystal blue shade square rhinestone onto the adhesive. Set aside so it can sit undisturbed until the adhesive is cured.

Chain Tassel Component

STEP 4
Cut two 3-1/2 inch lengths of the chain with filigree rounds and fifteen 3-1/2 inch lengths of the cable chain. Cut one 5-inch length of 18-gauge wire. Form a large loop on one end, then thread on the last link on one end of each length of chain. Tighten the loop so the chain can be gathered into a neat bundle. Use the short end of the formed loop to create a wrapped loop. Put a cone onto the straight length of wire and push it down so it covers the wrapped loop and the top of the chains.

Thread the following:
  • One Swarovski crystal and gold-plated brass crystal AB 10mm rondelle
  • One 15x7mm fancy star bead cap
  • One antiqued sterling silver scalloped saucer
  • One 15x7mm fancy star bead cap
  • Swarovski crystal and gold-plated brass crystal AB 10mm rondelle
  • One 15x7mm fancy star bead cap
  • One pink opal rectangle
  • One 15x7mm fancy star a bead cap
  • Swarovski crystal and gold-plated brass crystal AB 6mm rondelle
  • 9x4mm flower a bead cap
  • Swarovski crystal golden shadow 8mm rondelle
Begin to form a wrapped loop, thread on the loop of a 9x5mm bail then finish the wrapped loop.

Place a butterfly bead onto a headpin. Finish with a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of ten assorted butterfly dangles. Add the butterfly dangles randomly to the lengths of chain, placing them on the ends and along the length of chain.

Detachable Bracelet

STEP 5
Cut a 3-inch length of 18-gauge wire. Form a simple loop on one end. Thread on a crimp bead, a 9x4mm flower bead cap, a fine silver puffed bead, a 9x4mm flower bead cap and a crimp bead. Form a simple loop to create a puffed beading link.

Repeat to create a hammered beading link using a 2-inch length of 18-gauge wire threaded with a crimp bead, a 15x5mm fancy round bead cap, a fine silver hammered round bead, a 15x5mm fancy round bead cap and a crimp bead.

Repeat to create a rose quartz beading link using a 3-inch length of 18-gauge wire threaded with a crimp cover, a 10x3mm fancy leaf bead cap, a rose quartz nugget, a 10x3mm fancy leaf bead cap, a crimp bead, a 10x3mm fancy leaf bead cap, a rose quartz nugget, a 10x3mm fancy leaf bead cap and a crimp cover. Repeat to create a second rose quartz beading link.
STEP 6
Cut a 3-inch length of 26-gauge wire. Fold the wire in half then pass one end through a hole on a German crystal link. Bring both ends of the wire together then thread on a 13x3mm fancy round bead cap fitted to the shape of the crystal link. Thread on a brass 2.5mm corrugated round bead.

Form a wrapped loop using both wires. Repeat on the other hole of the crystal link to complete a German crystal beading link.

Creating the Necklace Chain

STEP 7
Open an 8mm jumpring. Thread it through one loop on a spacer bar and one hole on one bail from Step 2. Close the jumpring. Use jumprings to connect 13 spacer bars together. Use a jumpring to connect the last spacer bar to a hole in the second bail from Step 2.

Repeat to create a second length of spacer bars that connects to the other hole in both bails.

Assembling the Components

STEP 8
Open an 8mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop of the 11x10mm bail on one end of the spacer-bar chains and the loop on a lobster claw clasp. Close the jumpring. Add a second jumpring to the connection.
STEP 9
Open a simple loop on one end of a rose quartz beading link and pass it through the loop of the 11x10mm bail on the other end of the spacer bar chains. Close the loop.

Assembling the Bracelet Components

STEP 10
Cut an 8-inch length of Accu-Flex beading wire. Thread onto the wire a crimp bead and the loop on the other end of the rose quartz beading link used in Step 9. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead and crimp using crimping pliers. Thread on a Swarovski crystal golden shadow 8mm rondelle, a 9x4mm flower bead cap, a crimp bead, a 15x7mm fancy star bead cap, an opal rectangle, a 15x7mm fancy star bead cap, a crimp bead, a 15x7mm fancy star bead cap, an opal rectangle, a 15x7mm fancy star bead cap, a crimp bead, a 15x7mm fancy star bead cap, one end of the steel component, an opal rectangle, the other end of the steel component, a 15x7mm fancy star bead cap, a crimp bead, a 9x4mm flower bead cap, a Swarovski crystal golden shadow 8mm rondelle, a crimp bead and the loop of a 9x5mm bail. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead, tighten up the beads so little beading wire is showing yet there is flexibility in the beading wire, then crimp the last crimp bead with crimping pliers.

Use crimp covers to conceal the two crimped crimp beads on each end.
STEP 11
Open a loop on one end of the puffed beading link. Add the loop on a lobster claw clasp. Close the loop.

Cut a 4-inch length of Accu-Flex beading wire. Thread on a crimp bead and the other loop of the puffed beading link. Pass the wire back through the crimp bead then crimp using crimping pliers. Thread on:

  • One 10x3mm fancy leaf bead cap
  • One rose quartz rectangle
  • One 10x3mm fancy leaf bead cap
  • One crimp bead and the open loop on one end of the hammered beading link
Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead just strung, tighten up the beads so there is little wire showing yet there is flexibility in the beading wire and then crimp the last crimp bead using crimping pliers.

Use crimp covers to conceal the two crimped crimp beads on each end.
STEP 12
Open the loop on the other end of the hammered beading link and pass the open loop through the wrapped loop on one end of the German crystal beading link. Close the loop.
