Single-Strand Necklace with Antiqued Copper Beads and Turquoise Gemstone Beads

STEP 1
Using side-cutting pliers, cut the following lengths of wire:
  • Two 36-inch lengths of 28-gauge copper wire
  • Two 10-inch lengths of 28-gauge copper wire
STEP 2
Using a 2mm beading awl, starting at one end of a 10-inch length of wire, tightly wrap the wire around the awl until you get to the end of the piece of wire, creating a 3/4 inch piece of French wire. Repeat to create two 3/4 inch pieces of copper French wire.

Repeat, using one 36-inch length of wire; tightly wrapping the wire around the awl, creating a 2-inch piece of copper French wire.

Repeat to create two 2-inch pieces of copper French wire.
STEP 3
Using side-cutting pliers, cut a 10-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire. String onto the wire one crimp tube, a 3/4 inch piece of French wire and the loop attached to the toggle ring half of the clasp. Pass the wire back through the crimp tube, leaving one end of the wire approximately 1-inch long. Pull the crimp tight against the French wire and the clasp so the French wire is formed in a nicely curved tube. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp.

Using the chain-nose pliers, crimp the center of the crimp tube. Using side-cutting pliers, trim the excess wire from the short end.
STEP 4
String onto the beading wire, one turquoise nugget and one copper fancy tube.

Repeat four times for a total of five sets.
STEP 5
String on one crimp tube, a 2-inch piece of French wire and the hole on the turquoise donut. Pass the wire back through the crimp then pull the wire snugly so the French wire makes a nicely curved tube around the turquoise donut. Make sure there is no slack along the length of the necklace. Place a small amount of gel adhesive inside the crimp.

Using the chain-nose pliers, crimp the center portion of the crimp tube. Using side-cutting pliers, trim the excess wire from the end.
STEP 6
Using side-cutting pliers, cut a 22-inch length of Accu-Flex® beading wire. String onto the wire, one crimp tube, a 2-inch piece of French wire and the hole on the turquoise donut. Pass the wire back through the crimp then pull the wire snugly so the French wire makes a nicely curved tube around the turquoise donut. Place a small amount of gel adhesive inside the crimp.

Using the chain-nose pliers, crimp the center portion of the crimp tube. Using side-cutting pliers, trim the excess wire from the end.
STEP 7
String onto the beading wire the following components with one turquoise nugget in between each component:
  • One 16x8mm copper patterned diamond bead
  • One 13x9mm copper patterned rectangle bead
  • One 20x13mm copper patterned oval bead
  • One 11x10mm copper corrugated rondelle
  • One 15mm copper beaded round
  • One 11x10mm copper corrugated rondelle
  • One 20x13mm copper patterned oval bead
  • One 13x9mm copper patterned rectangle bead
  • One 16x8mm copper patterned diamond bead
  • Four 8x2mm copper flower rondelle
  • One 6x4mm copper fancy tube bead
  • One 6x4mm copper fancy tube bead
  • One 6x4mm copper fancy tube bead
STEP 8
String onto the wire one turquoise nugget bead.
STEP 9
String on one crimp tube, a 3/4 inch piece of French wire and the loop on the bar half of the clasp. Pass the wire back through the crimp tube, leaving one end of the wire approximately 1-inch long. Pull the crimp tight against the French wire and the clasp so the French wire is formed in a nicely curved tube. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp.

Using the chain-nose pliers, crimp the center of the crimp tube. Using side-cutting pliers, trim the excess wire from the short end.
