Single-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Magic-Glos® Links, Paper Beads and Mica Powder

Necklace

STEP 1
Using scissors cut twenty white long thin triangles of paper measuring 5/16 inch at the base and eight white long thin triangles of paper measuring 1/2 inch at the base.
STEP 2
Slide the base of the 5/16 inch cut paper into the slotted end of the micro mini paper bead roller. Twist the roller, maintaining tension for the first two or three turns. Loosen the tension and adjust the paper to achieve the desired look. Continue to roll the paper until you are about 2 or 3 twists from the end. Use a paintbrush to apply a small amount of Paper Bead Girl Adhesive™ along the underside of the exposed paper. Roll the remaining paper until the entire strip of paper is wound around the bead. Repeat to create twenty short- to medium-length beads. Using the standard paper bead roller and paper measuring 1/2 inch at the base, create eight longer paper beads.
STEP 3
Pour a quarter-sized amount of Magic-Glos into a small container. Add gold mica powder to the Magic-Glos and stir to the desired consistency.

Using a paintbrush, paint all the exposed white on the first white paper bead. Allow to dry. Repeat to paint all the white paper beads gold.
STEP 4
Mix equal amounts of the Art Clay® World molding compound from each of the jars until the putty is all one color. Form a 30mm disc shape approximately 5mm thick. Firmly press one antiqued gold-finished 29mm open filigree round component into the top of the putty. Allow the compound to cure. You can test to see if the compound is completely cured by pressing your fingernail into the edge; if it leaves a mark, it's not cured. If no mark remains, compound is completely cured. Remove the gold-finished filigree round component from the cured mold.
STEP 5
Using a paintbrush, brush some sparkle blue mica powder into the mold. Pour in enough Magic-Glos to cover the bottom of the mold. Cure with UV light. Repeat to brush with blue mica powder. Pour another layer of Magic-Glos to not quite full. Cure with UV light. Add another layer of blue mica powder and pour another layer of Magic-Glos. Cure with UV light. Once cured, use a paintbrush to brush a layer of gold mica powder on the back of the Magic-Glos link.

Using a sanding needle, clean up the scalloped edges as needed.

Repeat to create eleven 29mm Magic-Glos links.
STEP 6
Using a rotary tool, drill a 2mm a hole on the top edge of the first Magic-Glos link 3mm from the edge. Repeat to create a hole on the opposite edge of the link.

Repeat to create two holes in the eleven links.

For the center link, make eight additional holes 4mm apart along the edge of the Magic-Glos link between the two holes.

For the right center link, make five additional holes 4mm apart along the edge of the Magic-Glos link between starting from the left-hand hole.

For the left center link, make five additional holes 4mm apart along the edge of the Magic-Glos link between starting from the right-hand hole in a mirror image of the previous link.
