Multi-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Swarovski Crystal and Dione® Large-Hole Beads

Necklace

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters cut eleven 22-inch lengths of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.

Using a pair of chain-nose and bent-nose pliers separate a 3-1/4 inch (16-link) length of gold-finished 7x5mm twisted cable chain.
STEP 2
String the following onto one silver-plated 2-inch headpin:
  • One Swarovski jet 3mm bicone
  • One Swarovski dark red coral 8mm round
  • One Swarovski jet 3mm bicone
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire creating a Swarovski dark red coral drop.
STEP 3
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers open the loop on the Swarovski dark red coral drop. Pass the loop through the first link on one end of the 3-1/4 inch length of gold-finished 7x5mm twisted cable chain. Close the loop.
STEP 4
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers open two gold-plated 6mm jumprings. Pass one 6mm jumpring through the last link on the opposite end of the cable chain. Close the jumpring. Pass one 6mm jumpring through the loop on one gold-plated lobster claw clasp. Close the jumpring.
STEP 5
Place a Bead Stopper™ on one end of one 22-inch length of beading wire.

String the following onto the beading wire:
  • Sixteen Swarovski jet 3mm bicones
  • Sixteen Swarovski burgundy 3mm bicones
  • Fifty Swarovski dark red coral 3mm bicones
  • Sixteen Swarovski jet 3mm bicones
  • Sixteen Swarovski jet 3mm bicones
Place a Bead Stopper on the end of the beading wire to secure the strand.
STEP 6
Repeat the stringing sequence in Step 5 to create a total of four 3mm bicone strands.
STEP 7
String onto one end of four 3mm bicone strands one silver-plated 3x2mm crimp bead. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead creating a small loop (approximately 1/8 inch) and leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end.

Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite®) inside the crimp (optional). Using crimping pliers crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters trim the excess from the short ends of the beading wire.

Repeat to add a crimp bead to the opposite end of the four 3mm bicone strands.

Tip: Insert round-nose pliers through the loops to keep them consistent when pulling the beading wire tight.
STEP 8
Repeat the stringing sequence in Step 5 - 7 to create a second set of four 3mm bicone strands.

Repeat the stringing sequence in Step 5 - 7 to create one set of three 3mm bicone strands.
STEP 9
Pass one 22-inch length of beading wire through the loops of the three sets of strands so the strands rest in the center of the beading wire, then double the beading wire in half.
STEP 10
String onto both ends of the doubled beading wire one silver-plated 3x2mm crimp bead. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the loops then crimp the crimp bead.
STEP 11
String the following onto the beading wire:
  • One Dione and gold-finished Czech crystal AB 12mm rondelle
  • One Swarovski jet 14mm round
  • One Dione and gold-finished Czech crystal AB 12mm rondelle
STEP 12
Apply a small amount of G-S Hypo Cement inside the hole of the Swarovski jet 14mm round. Press the jet 14mm round over the crimp bead so the first Dione 12mm rondelle covers the crimp beads on the eleven 3mm bicone strands.
STEP 13
Continue to string the following:
  • Ten Swarovski dark red coral 8mm rounds
  • One 12Kt gold-filled 3x2mm crimp bead
  • One Accu-Guard™ wire protector
  • The jumpring on the end of the cable chain
Pass the ends of the beading wire back through the crimp bead leaving approximately 1/4 inch on each end. Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite) inside the crimp (optional).

Using crimping pliers crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters trim the excess from the 1/4 inch ends of the beading wire. Place one gold-plated 4mm stardust crimp cover over the crimp bead then gently close it.
STEP 14
Repeat Steps 9 - 13 to attach the lobster claw clasp to the opposite ends of the 3mm bicone strands.

Earrings

STEP 1
Using scissors cut one 1-yard length of FireLine® thread.
STEP 2
Thread a needle with the length of FireLine thread. Double the thread so the ends are even. Pass the ends of the FireLine through the eye of one gold-plated 1-inch eyepin and create a thread knot.
STEP 3
String two Dyna-Mites™ opaque black #11 seed beads onto the thread.
STEP 4
Continue to string the following
  • Four Swarovski jet 3mm bicones
  • Three Swarovski burgundy 3mm bicones
  • Twelve Swarovski dark red coral 3mm bicones
Pass the thread around the outside of the last dark red coral 3mm bicone strung and through the other 3mm bicone and two seed beads in the opposite direction.
STEP 5
Wrap the thread around the loop on the eyepin one time and then back through the two seed beads from Step 3.
STEP 6
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to create a total of four Swarovski 3mm bicone sets.

Do not pass the thread through the two seed beads after creating the last Swarovski 3mm bicone set.
STEP 7
Repeat Steps 3 - 6 to create a second set of three Swarovski 3mm bicone sets.
STEP 8
Tie off the FireLine thread with a knot then trim close to the loop of the eyepin with scissors. Apply a small amount of G-S Hypo Cement to secure.
STEP 9
String the following onto the straight end of the eyepin:
  • One Dione and gold-finished Czech crystal AB 12mm rondelle
  • One Swarovski jet 14mm round
  • One Swarovski jet 3mm bicone
Apply a small amount of G-S Hypo Cement inside the hole of the Swarovski jet 14mm round. Press the jet 14mm round over the loop of the eyepin so it covers most of the loop.

Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire creating a Swarovski tassel.
STEP 10
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers open the loop on one gold-plated kidney earwire. Pass the loop through the loop on the Swarovski tassel. Close the loop.
STEP 11
Repeat Steps 1 - 10 to create a second earring.
