Natural materials such as stone and pearls.

I discovered how to make the lacy wire coil by mistake. It looked amazing, so I had to use it in a design.

My mom started beading, then she taught my daughter, who taught me.

Do you have an artistic background?
I have lots of artists in my family and I grew up sewing and making my own clothes.

How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®?
My mom.

What other hobbies do you have?
Sewing.

Beading Success

What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
Beading has become a part-time business. It's a great creative outlet. Relaxing and rewarding. Also I have taught beading and wire-working classes.

If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?
We have a website (my mom, my sister and I) www.lazybeadranch.com. We wear our jewelry as a way of advertising and are working on a radio ad.

Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?
Don't be afraid to make mistakes. You will learn a lot from them and sometimes those items come out the best!
