A Sheep Brooch
|Photocopy picture 1 or make a full-size sketch of the brooch, increasing it to the desired size. Transfer the sketch on to the fabric. Sew a row of B beads along the muzzle contour (Fig. 1). Fill in the free spaces, sewing the beads in a random order.|
|Attach C for the eye and the nose. Embroider some loops around the body in A , B beads (Fig. 2). Work a loop of seven B beads for the ear. Trim all the excess fabric close to the outer edge of beads in the last row.|
|Put the beaded item on the back side of the leather, trace its outline and cut out the pattern. Fix a bar pin in the center of the item, running through its holes. Lay the leather flat over the finding and the item and mark the points where the pin stems are. Cut small holes at the marks. Open the pin and slip the pin stems through the holes. Close the pin, fold up the leather and spread some glue over its back side. Press the leather down flat. Work a basic edge stitch (Fig. 3) in A , B . Make four legs in A , B , C with D on the ends (Fig. 4). String the beads for the tail.|
