Commemorating Leonardo da Vinci Set
Bead the base netting in (A and D) (Fig. 1), working symmetrically from the middle in both directions. Use the photograph as a guide for seed bead color changes. Embroider the netting (Fig. 2), using (C) to embroider along brown template lines and (F) along black ones. Make three pendants in (I) (Fig. 3).
What you are going to do now is to bead two leaves attached to the center of your necklace. Each leaf consists of four parts worked in a different way: the central part (E), (Fig. 4) two smaller side parts (E), (Fig. 5) and a twig (B), (Fig. 7). Attach side parts of a leaf to the central part (Fig. 6). Work a twig 12 to 14 beads long and attach it to the finished leaf. Now fix the leaves to their places on the netting (see the photo).
Bead four more leaves in (G) (Fig. 7). Attaching them to the netting, see the photograph.
Bead two Ndebele spirals (Fig. 9) altering the bead color (A and K). Attach one end of each spiral to the necklace, going through (J) bead. Fix bead caps to the loose ends of the spirals and attach a lobster clasp.
