Mountain "jade," a high-grade dolomite marble from Asia, is dyed to vibrant colors and widely used by makers of fine costume jewelry for its close resemblance to top-quality gemstones. Color may vary from dye lot to dye lot. Testing for colorfastness is recommended. Finish will wear off with use. To extend the beads' life, use an artist fixative such as Mod Podge®.
