About the Author: Handicrafts have been an essential part of Sandy's life for as long as she can remember, starting with spool knitting as a child and designing her first original needlepoint picture for a high school art class. She has been making hand-crafted jewelry for the past ten years. In addition to her love of chainmaille, she also enjoys bead weaving, bead crochet, kumihimo and cross-stitch. She and her husband, Cal operate StravaMax Jewelry Etc. an online store. Their daughter, Jessica, is a graphic designer and jewelry artist who contributes beautiful graphics and wire work jewelry to the family business. In Sandy's "other life," she works as a Registered Nurse. She and her family live in Kamloops, in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
