"CAL" is an abbreviation for "comet argent light" which is a vacuum metal coating applied to the surface of the stone producing a bright, mirror-like effect. The "V" stands for "reverse," meaning the surface effect has been used as a translucent effect, applied only to the back of the stone. The "P" in the color name stands for "Protective Layer," which is a lacquer system applied over the crystal CAL V effect. The lacquer is designed to protect the effects from scratches, fingerprints and other damage and also helps to prevent moisture that can lead to corrosion (example: from perspiration).
Through the long, sleek geometry of parallel facets in opposing directions on front and back, twist crystals have a chessboard appearance with a gentle curve, or twist, for mesmerizing sparkle and brilliance. Large, smooth drill holes for heavy cord and multiple strands of beading wire.
Hole size and placement may vary slightly.
