- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, #15 rocaille, Duracoat® opaque outside dyed dark orchid, (RR-4489)
- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, #15 rocaille, opaque outside dyed carnation pink, (RR-1371)
- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, #15 rocaille, opaque turquoise blue (RR-413)
- Beading hoop, gold-plated brass, 30mm round
- Ear wire fishhook, gold-plated, 18mm flat / open loop, 21 gauge brass
- Jump ring, gold-plated, 4mm round, 20 gauge / 2.4mm inside diameter / brass
- Cord, Invizi™-Cord, nylon, clear, 0.25mm, 8-pound test
- Chain, beaded & clover, 3mm / 8mm filigree, gold-finished brass
- Chain, oval & link, 3mm open / 2.5mm ball / lobster claw clasp, gold-finished brass
- Adhesive, Super Glue® Future Glue® Gel, clear
- Needle, Tulip, nickel- and gold-plated steel, #11 with 0.52mm eye width, 2 inches
Instructions
Necklace Instructions
Cut the following lengths of chain:
- Two 2-inch lengths of gold-finished 3mm/8mm beaded & clover filigree chain (five balls and five flowers)
- Four 1-inch lengths of 3mm/8mm beaded & clover filigree chain (three balls and two flowers)
- Four 1-3/4 inch lengths of gold-finished 3mm/2.5mm oval and link chain (three balls and two oval links)
- Four 3/4 inch lengths of gold-finished 3mm/2.5mm oval and link chain (one ball and one oval link)
Cut a 6-inch length of Invizi™-Cord clear 0.25mm 8-pound test nylon cord. Leaving a 2-inch tail, string on a Crystal Passions® 2mm round bead in your choice of color, followed by eight matching or contrasting Miyuki #15 rocaille seed beads, interweaving the cord through the clover component of the beaded & clover filigree chain. String the cord through the first seed bead again, then tie the ends of the cord together, dab a drop of Super Glue® Future Glue® Gel onto the knot and cut off the excess cord.
Repeat to create a total of 18 seed-beaded flowers in your choice of colors.
Attach a 4mm 20-gauge gold-plated round jump ring to the top of each length of chain.
String the following onto a 30mm gold-plated round beading hoop:
- One 4mm gold-plated round bead
- One 3/4 inch length of oval and link chain
- One 4mm gold-plated round bead
- One 1-inch length of beaded & clover chain
- One 4mm gold-plated round bead
- One 1-3/4 inch length of oval and link chain
- One 4mm gold-plated round bead
- One 2-inch length of beaded & clover chain
- One 4mm gold-plated round bead
- One 1-3/4 inch length of oval and link chain
- One 4mm gold-plated round bead
- One 1-inch length of beaded & clover chain
- One 4mm gold-plated round bead
- One 3/4 inch length of oval and link chain
- One 4mm gold-plated round bead
Using a 4mm 20-gauge gold-plated round jump ring, attach a 18mm 21-gauge gold-plated fishhook ear wire to the top of the beading hoop.
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to finish the second earring.
