Bracelet with Swarovski Crystal

Start the bracelet at the first full-width row and add rows until the bracelet is almost the desired length. Taper the end, attach half the clasp, and return to the starting end to taper it and add the clasp's other half. Use round-nose pliers to pull your needle gently through any tight passes.

Row 1

STEP 1
Thread a needle to the center of 4 yd. (3.7m) of Nymo®.
STEP 2
Each triangle side is comprised of a size 11/0 seed bead, a 4mm crystal, and 11/0 seed bead ''unit.'' String the first triangle with 1 color B unit, 1 color C unit, and 1 color B unit, leaving a 5-inch (13cm) tail. Tie the working thread and the tail into a square knot, pulling the beads into a triangle. Sew through the first B unit again.
STEP 3
String 2 A units. Sew through the first B unit again and the 2 new A units.
STEP 4
String a B unit and an A unit. Sew through the last A unit exited and the 2 units just added.
STEP 5
String an A unit and a B unit. Sew through the last A unit exited and the 2units just added.
STEP 6
String a B unit and a C unit. Sew through the last B unit exited and the new B unit.

Row 2

STEP 1
To start row 2, string a C unit and a B unit. Sew through the B unit last exited and the 2 new units.
STEP 2
String 2 A units. Sew through the B unit last exited and the first A unit added.
STEP 3
String an A unit and sew through the B unit on the row above, the A unit last exited, and the new A unit.
STEP 4
String a B unit and an A unit and sew through the A unit last exited and the new B unit.
STEP 5
String a C unit and sew through the B unit on the row above and the B and A units added in the last step.

Row 3

STEP 1
String an A unit and a B unit. Sew through the last A unit exited and through the 2 new units.
STEP 2
String a C unit and a B unit. Sew through the last B unit exited and the 2 A units that complete row 3's previous triangle.
STEP 3
String a B unit and an A unit. Sew through the last A unit exited, the 2 new units, and the A unit on the row above.
STEP 4
String a B unit and sew through the A unit added in the last step, the A unit in the row above and the new B unit.
STEP 5
String a B unit and a C unit. Pass through the B unit last exited and the new B unit.

Adding Rows

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you are approximately 2 inches (5cm) from the desired length of the bracelet. Stop after completing a row 2 repeat.

Making the Tapered Ends

I begin tapering after a row 2 repeat to end with a completed flower.
STEP 1
With your needle exiting an A unit, string an A unit and a C unit and sew through the A unit last exited and the new A unit.
STEP 2
String a C unit and an A unit and sew back through the last A unit exited, the 2 new units and the A unit on the next triangle.
STEP 3
Pick up a C unit and sew back through the A unit added in the previous stitch, the A unit beside it, and the C unit between them.
STEP 4
String a C unit, one half of the clasp and another C unit. Sew through the last C unit exited.
STEP 5
Repeat this thread path again to reinforce the clasp attachment. Sew into the beadwork, tying half-hitch knots to secure the thread. Glue the knots and trim the tail.
STEP 6
Thread a needle with 1 yd. (.9m) of Nymo® doubled. Start a thread in the beadwork at the other end of the bracelet, tying half-hitches between beads to secure. Sew through the beads to exit a top A unit pointing toward the far edge.
STEP 7
Repeat steps 1 - 5 to taper this end of the bracelet and attach the clasp.
