Triple-Strand Necklace with Sterling Silver Chain and Emerald and Coral Beads

STEP 1
String one emerald 3.5mm button bead onto an eyepin. Form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating an emerald beading link. Repeat to create twenty-nine emerald beading links.

Repeat to create the following:
  • Twenty-eight red coral rondelle beading links, using one red coral rondelle on a 2-inch eyepin
  • Four red coral and white coral beading links, using one red coral rondelle bead, one white bamboo coral 6mm round bead, and one red coral rondelle bead on a 2-inch eyepin
  • Four emerald and white coral beading links, using one emerald 3.5mm button bead, one white 6mm round bead, and one emerald 3.5mm button bead on a 2-inch eyepin
STEP 2
Using side-cutting pliers, cut the following lengths of chain:
  • One 27-inch length of sterling silver 9mm and 3mm cable chain (start at the beginning of a set of 3mm rings and end after a set of 3mm rings)
  • Seven pieces of 2-inch lengths of 16mm link with 5mm round sterling silver chain (start with one 5mm round link and end with one 5mm round link)
  • Two single pieces of 5mm round link from the 16mm link with 5mm round sterling silver chain

First Strand Outside

STEP 3
Using two pairs of chain-nose pliers, open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the first loop attached to the end bar clasp and the first 3mm link of the 27-inch length of sterling silver 9mm and 3mm cable chain. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to attach the last 3mm link of chain to the first loop on the second half of the clasp.

Second Strand

STEP 4
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the middle loop on one half of the clasp and one emerald button beading link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 5
Continue connecting components in the following order:
  • One 4mm jumpring
  • One red coral rondelle beading link
  • One 4mm jumpring
  • One emerald button beading link
STEP 6
Repeat Step 5 twenty-seven times for a total of twenty-eight sets.
STEP 7
Open a 4mm jumpring then pass it through the last loop on the last emerald button beading link and the middle loop on the second half of the clasp. Close the jumpring.

Third Strand

STEP 8
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the last loop on one half of the clasp and one single sterling silver 5mm link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 9
Open the loop on one side of an emerald and white coral beading link. Pass it through the sterling silver 5mm link. Close the loop.
STEP 10
Continue connecting components in the following order:
  • One 2-inch length of 16mm link with 5mm round sterling silver chain
  • One red coral and white coral beading link
  • One 2-inch length of 16mm link with 5mm round sterling silver chain
  • One emerald and white coral beading link
STEP 11
Repeat Step 10 two times for a total of three sets.
STEP 12
Continue connecting components in the following order:
  • One 2-inch length of 16mm link with 5mm round sterling silver chain
  • One red coral and white coral beading link
STEP 13
Open the second loop on the last red coral and white coral beading link. Pass it through a sterling silver 5mm link. Close the loop.
STEP 14
Open a 4mm jumpring then pass it through the sterling silver 5mm link and the last loop on the second half of the clasp. Close the jumpring.
