Multi-Strand Necklace with Sterling Silver Beads and Links and Swarovski Crystal Beads

Combine different sizes and different shapes of sterling silver beads to create a dramatic, texture-rich design. Use any leftovers to create a pair of matching earrings and a bracelet.

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters, cut two 8-inch lengths of beading wire.
STEP 2
Thread onto one wire, one crimp tube and the loop of one eyepin (A).

Pass the beading wire back through the crimp tube, leaving one end of the wire approximately 1-inch long, then pull the crimp tight against the loop of eyepin (A). Using crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters, cut the 1-inch tail.
STEP 3
String twenty-nine 4mm sterling silver seamless round beads.
STEP 4
Repeat Step 2, except this time pass the wire through the end of a 3D marquise bead instead of an eyepin.
STEP 5
Using the second 8-inch length of wire, repeat Step 2, but pass the wire through the opposite end of the 3D marquise bead used in Step 4.

String twenty-nine 4mm sterling silver seamless rounds. Repeat Step 2 using a second eyepin (B).
STEP 6
Cut one 16-inch length of beading wire. Repeat Step 2, attaching the beading wire to eyepin (A).
STEP 7
Pour all of the 3mm crystal bicones onto your bead mat and mix them to create a "bead soup."

Starting and ending with a 3mm sterling silver seamless round and alternating 3mm sterling silver seamless rounds with 3mm crystal bicones used randomly from your "bead soup," string (56) 3mm sterling silver seamless rounds and (55) 3mm crystal bicones. Repeat Step 2, this time attaching the end of the strand to eyepin (B).
STEP 8
Cut one 8-inch length and one 14-inch length of wire. Repeat Step 2, attaching the 8-inch length of beading wire to eyepin (A).
STEP 9
String (14) 5x3mm sterling silver seamless ovals. Repeat Step 2, passing the end of the beading wire through a 3D marquise.
STEP 10
Using the 14-inch length of beading wire, repeat Step 2, but pass the wire through the opposite end of the 3D marquise bead used in Step 9. String (43) 5x3mm sterling silver seamless ovals. Repeat Step 2 to attach the end of the strand to eyepin (B).
STEP 11
Measure and cut one 18-inch length of beading wire. Repeat Step 2 to attach the strand to eyepin (A).
STEP 12
Starting and ending with a 2mm sterling silver seamless round and alternating 2mm sterling silver seamless rounds with 3mm crystal bicones used randomly from your "bead soup," string (82) 2mm sterling silver seamless rounds and (81) 3mm crystal bicones. Repeat Step 2, this time attaching the end of the strand to eyepin (B).
STEP 13
Cut one 14-inch length and one 9-inch length of wire. Repeat Step 2, attaching the 14-inch length of wire to eyepin (A).
STEP 14
String (37) 7x3mm sterling silver ovals. Repeat Step 2, passing the end of the beading wire through the third and final 3D marquise.
STEP 15
Using the 9-inch length of beading wire, repeat Step 2, but pass the wire through the opposite end of the 3D marquise bead used in Step 14. String (15) 7x3mm sterling silver ovals. Repeat Step 2 to attach the end of the strand to eyepin (B).
STEP 16
Pass eyepin (B) through the wide end of the wider leaf bead cone, making sure that the beads are securely held within the cone.

Begin a wrapped loop. Open the loop slightly and string on the bottom half of the sterling silver ribbon hook clasp, settling it into the loop. Close the loop then complete the wrap.
STEP 17
Pass eyepin (A) through the wide end of the more slender leaf bead cone, making sure that the beads are securely held within the cone. Make a wrapped loop with the end of the eyepin that emerges from the tapered end of the cone.
STEP 18
Set aside two 6mm vintage rose crystal rounds. Slide one 6mm crystal round, any color, onto a headpin. Make a wrapped loop to create a dangle.

Use the front notch on a pair of crimping pliers to make the wraps more uniform.

Repeat this step 13 more times with the remaining 6mm crystal rounds for a total of fourteen 6mm crystal dangles.
STEP 19
Cut one 14-inch length of wire. Thread onto the wire, one silver crimp tube and the loop of the top half of the clasp.
STEP 20
String six 7x4mm saucers, nine 6x4mm saucers, seven 5x3mm saucers, twenty-one 3.5x2mm saucers, seven 5x3mm saucers, nine 6x4mm saucers, seven 7x4mm saucers, seven 8x5mm saucers, one reserved 6mm vintage rose crystal round and the 6mm crystal round dangles in the following order: smoked topaz, vintage rose, olivine, Montana, crystal golden shadow, mocca, smoked topaz, vintage rose, olivine, Montana, crystal golden shadow and mocca.

String the final reserved 6mm vintage rose crystal round.
STEP 21
Repeat Step 2, attaching the strand to the wrapped loop of eyepin (A).
