Triple-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Turquoise Gemstone Beads, Antiqued Hill Tribes Fine Silver Beads, Charms and Focals and Sterling Silver Chain

Necklace

STEP 1
String one 4mm round turquoise bead, one sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube bead, and one 4mm round turquoise bead onto a 1-1/2 inch eyepin. Using a pair of round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating a sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube and turquoise beading link. Repeat to create four sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube and turquoise beading links.

Repeat to create the following beading links:
  • Four sterling silver 8x6mm rondelle with circles beading links, using one sterling silver 8x6mm rondelle with circles bead and one 1-1/2 inch eyepin
  • Five 4mm round turquoise beading links, using one 4mm round turquoise bead and one 1-1/2 inch eyepin
  • Two 8x6mm tube turquoise beading links, using one 8x6mm tube turquoise bead and one 1-1/2 inch eyepin
  • One sterling silver 10mm fancy saucer beading link, using one sterling silver 10mm fancy saucer bead and one 1-1/2 inch eyepin
  • One 7x5mm tube turquoise beading link, using one 4mm round turquoise bead, one 4mm jumpring (used as a spacer), one 7x5mm tube turquoise bead, one 4mm jumpring and one 4mm round turquoise bead and one 1-1/2 inch eyepin
  • Two sterling silver 30mm flower beading links, using one 4mm round turquoise bead, one sterling silver 4x3mm fancy tube bead, one 4mm round turquoise bead, one sterling silver 30mm flower drop (center loop), one 4mm round turquoise bead, one sterling silver 4x3mm fancy tube bead, and one 4mm round turquoise bead and one 2-inch eyepin
  • One sterling silver 35mm flower beading link, using one 4mm round turquoise bead, one sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube bead, one 4mm round turquoise bead, one sterling silver 35mm flower drop (smaller bottom loop), one 4mm round turquoise bead, one sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube bead, and one 4mm round turquoise bead and one 2-inch eyepin
STEP 2
Using flush-cutters, cut the following lengths of sterling silver 3mm long curb chain: one 6-3/4 inch length, one 7-1/4 inch length, one 6-inch length, two 5-inch lengths, five 2-inch lengths, two 1-3/4 inch lengths and three 1-1/2 inch lengths.
STEP 3
Using one pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 5.5mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through the first link on the 6-3/4 inch length of chain, the first link on the 7-1/4 inch length of chain and the loop on the toggle ring portion of the clasp. Close the jumpring.

Strand 1: Chain

STEP 4
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the 7-1/4 inch length of chain and the first loop on a 7x5mm tube turquoise beading link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 5
Continue to attach the following components using a 4mm jumpring in between each component:
  • One sterling silver 35mm flower beading link
  • One 1-3/4 inch length of chain
  • One sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube and turquoise beading link
  • One 2-inch length of chain
  • One sterling silver 8x6mm rondelle with circles beading link
  • One 2-inch length of chain
  • One sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube and turquoise beading link
  • One 6-inch length of chain
  • One sterling silver 8x6mm rondelle with circles beading link
  • One 2-inch length of chain
  • One sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube and turquoise beading link
  • One 5-inch length of chain
STEP 6
Open one 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on a sterling silver 12x11mm rose drop and the 16th link on the 6-inch length of chain. Close the jumpring.

Open the loop on a 4mm round turquoise beading link. Pass it through the 21st link on the 6-inch length of chain. Close the loop. Open the opposite loop on the 4mm round turquoise beading link. Pass it through a sterling silver 12x11mm rose drop. Close the loop.

Open the loop on a sterling silver 8x6mm rondelle with circles beading link. Pass it through the jumpring attached to the last link on the 6-inch length of chain. Close the loop. Open the opposite loop on the sterling silver 8x6mm rondelle with circles beading link. Pass it through a sterling silver 12x11mm rose drop. Close the loop.

Strand 2: Chain

STEP 7
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the 6-3/4 inch length of chain from Step 3 and the first loop on sterling silver 30mm flower beading link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 8
Continue to attach the following components using a 4mm jumpring in between each component:
  • One 2-inch length of chain
  • One sterling silver 8x6mm rondelle with circles beading link
  • One 1-1/2 inch length of chain
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise beading link
  • One 2-inch length of chain
  • One sterling silver 10mm fancy saucer beading link
  • One 5-inch length of chain
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise beading link
  • One 2-inch length of chain
  • One sterling silver 30mm flower beading link
  • One 2-inch length of chain
  • One sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube and turquoise beading link
  • One 1-3/4 inch length of chain
STEP 9
Open the loop on a 4mm round turquoise beading link. Pass it through the 2nd link on the 1-1/2 inch length of chain. Close the loop. Open the opposite loop on the 4mm round turquoise beading link. Pass it through a sterling silver 12x11mm rose drop. Close the loop. Repeat to attach a 4mm round turquoise beading link and a sterling silver 12x11mm rose drop to the 7th and 33rd link on the 5-inch length of chain and the 9th link on the third 2-inch length of chain. Close the jumpring.
STEP 10
Open a 5.5mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link of the 5-inch length of chain from Step 5, the last link of the 1-3/4 inch length of chain from Step 8 and the loop on the toggle bar portion of the clasp. Close the jumpring.

Strand 3: Beading Wire

STEP 11
Using the flush-cutters, cut a 30-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire. Then string onto the wire, one crimp tube and a 1/2 inch piece of French wire. Pass the wire through the 5.5mm jumpring attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp and back through the crimp tube, leaving one end of the wire approximately 1-inch long. Pull the crimp tight against the French wire and the jumpring so the French wire is formed in a nicely curved tube. Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite) inside the crimp (optional). Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end.
STEP 12
String onto the beading wire the following components:
  • One 4mm round turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube bead
Repeat eight times for a total of nine sets.
STEP 13
String onto the beading wire the following components:
  • One 4mm round turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • Five 7x4mm heishi turquoise beads
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 7x4mm heishi turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One sterling silver 6mm round bead
  • One sterling silver 30mm flower from Step 7 (upper loop on the back of the flower)
  • One sterling silver 6mm round bead
STEP 14
Continue to string onto the beading wire the following components:
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • Five 7x4mm heishi turquoise beads
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One sterling silver 6mm round bead
  • One sterling silver 35mm flower from Step 5 (large upper loop on the back of the flower)
  • One sterling silver 6mm round bead
STEP 15
Continue to string onto the beading wire the following components:
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 7x4mm heishi turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • Five 7x4mm heishi turquoise beads
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
Repeat six times for a total of seven sets.
STEP 16
Continue to string onto the beading wire the following components:
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 7x4mm heishi turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One sterling silver 6mm round bead
  • One sterling silver 30mm flower from Step 8 (upper loop on the back of the flower)
  • One sterling silver 6mm round bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 8x6mm tube turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
  • One 7x4mm heishi turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead
STEP 17
Continue to string onto the beading wire the following components:
  • One 4mm round turquoise bead
  • One sterling silver 9x4mm fancy tube bead
Repeat eight times for a total of nine sets.
STEP 18
String on one 4mm round turquoise bead, one crimp tube, and a 1/2 inch piece of French wire. Pass the wire through the 5.5mm jumpring attached to the toggle bar portion of the clasp and back through the crimp tube, pulling the wire tight against the jumpring. Make sure there is no slack along the length of the necklace. Place a small amount of gel adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim excess wire from the end.

Earrings

STEP 1
String one sterling silver 4x1mm beaded rondelle bead, one sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead, and one 8x6mm tube turquoise bead, one sterling silver 7mm rondelle bead, and one sterling silver 4x1mm beaded rondelle bead onto a 1-1/2 inch eyepin. Using a pair of round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating a sterling silver bead and 8x6mm tube turquoise beading link. Repeat to create two sterling silver bead and 8x6mm tube turquoise beading links.

Repeat to create the following beading links:
  • Two 4mm round turquoise beading links, using one 4mm round turquoise bead and one 1-1/2 inch eyepin
STEP 2
Using flush-cutters, cut two 3-link lengths of sterling silver 3mm long curb chain.
STEP 3
Using one pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 5.5mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through a loop on one sterling silver bead and 8x6mm tube turquoise beading link, the first link on a 3-link length of chain and the loop on the toggle ring portion of a clasp. Close the jumpring.
STEP 4
Open one loop on a 4mm round turquoise beading link. Pass it through the last link of chain added in Step 3. Close the loop. Open the other loop on the 4mm round turquoise beading link. Pass it through the loop of one sterling silver flower drop. Close the loop.
STEP 5
Open the opposite loop on the sterling silver bead and 8x6mm tube turquoise beading link. Pass it through the loop on an earwire. Close the loop.
STEP 6
Repeat Steps 3 - 5 to create the second earring.
