Multi-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Brecciated Jasper Gemstone Beads and Clasp and 14Kt Gold-Filled Beads, Cones and Chain

Necklace

STEP 1
Using diagonal flush-cutters cut the following components:
  • One 28-inch length of 6.5x5mm gold-filled textured flat cable chain
  • Three 28-inch lengths of 0.014 Dijon gold Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire
  • One 3-inch length of 12Kt gold-filled round dead-soft wire
STEP 2
String onto one 1-3/4 inch gold-filled paddle pin one 6mm brecciated jasper round bead and one 3mm gold-filled round bead. Using round-nose pliers, flat-nose pliers and flush-cutters form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire creating a brecciated jasper and gold-filled bead drop.

Repeat to create a total of six brecciated jasper and gold-filled bead drops.
STEP 3
Fold one 28-inch length of beading wire in half, leaving one side of the wire 1/4 inch longer than the other. Pass both ends of the wire through one 2x2mm 14Kt gold-filled crimp bead. Using crimping pliers crimp the crimp bead at the fold leaving a small loop of wire below the crimp.
  • Repeat to fold and crimp the second length of beading wire with one side 1/2 inch longer
  • Repeat to fold and crimp the third length of beading wire with one side 3/4 inch longer
STEP 4
String onto the shortest strand of the beading wire 9 inches of gold-filled liquid gold beads, one 3mm gold-filled round bead, sixteen gold-filled liquid gold beads and one 2x2mm gold-filled crimp bead. Pass the wire through the loop on one brecciated jasper and gold-filled bead drop and back through the crimp bead. Pull the wire snug against the bead drop leaving a small loop for movement. Using the crimping pliers and flush-cutters crimp the crimp bead and trim wire flush with the crimp. Gently close a 3mm gold-filled crimp cover over the crimp beads just added.

Repeat to string beads onto the remaining beading wire strands in ascending order of length while increasing by two the number of liquid gold bead strung after the 3mm gold-filled round bead. Shortest strand holds 16 gold-filled liquid gold beads, the next longest strand 18, the next longest strand 20, etc.
STEP 5
Over the crimped ends of all 6 beaded beading wire strands string on the toggle bar portion of the brecciated jasper toggle clasp.
STEP 6
String all three wire loops of the beaded beading wire strands onto one 3-inch length of 12Kt gold-filled round dead-soft wire. Wrap the wire several times to secure strands together, leaving one straight end of the wire.
STEP 7
String onto the straight end of the wire one 14Kt gold-filled swirled cone and position so the wrapped wire is hidden inside the cone. String onto the wire one 3mm gold-filled round bead. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters create a wrapped loop on the straight end of the wire.
STEP 8
String the toggle ring portion of the brecciated jasper toggle clasp onto the folded middle of one 28-inch length of 6.5x5mm gold-filled textured flat cable chain.
STEP 9
Using a pair of round-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers open one 4mm gold-filled jumpring and pass it through the wrapped loop of the cone and the first link and the last link on the 28 inch length of 6.5x5mm gold-filled textured flat cable chain. Close the jumpring.

Earrings

STEP 1
Using diagonal flush-cutters cut the following components:
  • Eight 14-inch lengths of 0.014 Dijon gold beading wire
  • Two 2-inch lengths of 12Kt gold-filled round dead-soft wire
STEP 2
String onto one 1-3/4 inch gold-filled paddle pin one 6mm brecciated jasper round bead and one 3mm gold-filled round bead. Using round-nose pliers, flat-nose pliers and flush-cutters form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire creating a brecciated jasper and gold-filled bead drop.

Repeat to create a total of 16 brecciated jasper and gold-filled bead drops.
STEP 3
Fold one 14-inch length of beading wire in half leaving one side of the wire 1/8 inch longer than the other. Pass both ends of the wire through one 2x2mm gold-filled crimp bead. Using crimping pliers crimp the crimp bead at the fold leaving a small loop of wire below the crimp.
  • Repeat to fold and crimp the second folded length of beading wire with one side 1/4 inch longer
  • Repeat to fold and crimp the third folded length of beading wire with one side 3/8 inch longer
  • Repeat to fold and crimp the remaining folded lengths of beading wire increasing the by 1/8 inch the difference in strand lengths at the fold
STEP 4
String onto the shortest strand of the beading wire 14 gold-filled liquid gold beads and one 2x2mm gold-filled crimp bead. Pass the wire through the loop on one brecciated jasper and gold-filled bead drop and back through the crimp bead. Pull the wire snug against the bead drop leaving a small loop of wire for movement. Using the crimping pliers and flush-cutters crimp the crimp bead and trim wire flush with the crimp. Gently close a 3mm gold-filled crimp cover over the crimp bead just added.

Repeat to string beads onto the remaining beading wire strands in ascending order of length while increasing by one the number of liquid gold beads. Shortest strand holds 14 gold-filled liquid gold beads, the next longest strand 15, the next longest strand 16, etc.
STEP 5
String all four wire loops of the beaded beading wire strands onto one 3-inch length of 12Kt gold-filled round dead-soft wire. Wrap the wire several times to secure strands together, leaving one straight end of the wire.
STEP 6
String onto the straight end of the wire one 14Kt gold-filled swirled cone and position so the wrapped wire is hidden inside the cone. String onto the wire one 3mm gold-filled round bead. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters create a wrapped loop on the straight end of the wire.
STEP 7
Using round-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers open the loop on one gold-filled leverback earwire and pass it through the wrapped loop of the cone. Close the loop.

Repeat Steps 3 - 7 to create a second earring.
